"Whoo!" Juliana waved her red solo cup in the air, slurring her words and stumbling through the crowd.
"Dis pawtee z da bommm!" Someone bumped into her and she fell onto the couch, spilling her beer onto the person next to her.
"Oops! Hahaha. Sorsy Hun." The boy next to her smiled, rubbing at his black t-shirt.
"Nah, it's cool. What's your name sweet thang?" He set his hand on her upper thigh and left it there.
"Jul-ee-ana." She sounded it out slowly so he wouldn't get confused. The boy smirked.
"Well, I'm Jay." He moved his hand higher up and rubbed his thumb on her bare leg. Juliana giggled and took a swig out of her cup. In the corner she noticed Kamerine making out with some guy who looked to be in his twenties and Amanda was partying on the dance floor.
"Say Juliana, do you want to go upstairs with me?" He whispered I to her ear. His breath tickled and she laughed daintily.
"And do what?" She batted her eyelashes and Jay flashed her his dazzling smile.
"I'll give you a hint. It involves pillows and sheets. Come on." He gently held her hand and she stood up, following him upstairs.

•NEXT MONTH•
Juliana woke up with a pounding headache.
"Shit," she muttered and covered her head with a pillow, attempting to drown out the white noise of the morning. Light poured into her bedroom from the window and blinded her, adding to her headache. Amanda walked in with a water bottle and some Advil.
"There's our party girl. How's your second hangover going?" Juliana clamped her hands over her ears.
"Shut up. It hurts to think." Her friend laughed and yanked her from the bed.
"What the hell?"
"You need to face it head-on. That's the best way to get over a hangover." Juliana narrowed her eyes at Amanda, clearly pissed.
"Not true!" Kamerine's voice rang from the kitchen. Amanda rolled her eyes.
"Well that what I'm saying and what I say goes. Got it? Of course you do. We've already been through this once with you before. Now let's get you dressed." Juliana was about as cooperative as a mule but somehow her friend managed to slip her into a red sweater and some white leggings. Amanda led her into the kitchen and Kamerine smiled.
"There she is! It's about time Mandy here woke you up. It's nearly two in the afternoon. Now go get some fresh air." She waved a spatula at her friend and then motioned to the door. Her auburn locks fell in perfect ringlets over a messy black apron. Juliana groaned and messed with her messy bun Amanda had somehow put together.
"Yeah yeah, I know the plan." Amanda grabbed Julians by the wrist and pulled her through the threshold of the front door. The sun invaded Juliana's eyes and she squinted, shielding her face with her hand.
"See, better."
"Dumb bitch," Juliana mumbled.
"Oh sweetie. Don't worry it gets better." Grumpily, she took in a deep breath and then covered her mouth, rushing over to the railing of the patio.
Suddenly all of her stomach's contents emptied themselves onto the lawn. Amanda rubbed Juliana's back as she heaved.
"Well maybe I was wrong."
