The Bond

Will Pov 

I had managed to get Lyra to drink the medicine and she fell asleep soon after I kissed her forehead and tucked her in and left her to go upstairs. 

Seraphina- Hello Will

Will- Please explain this bond to me I need to know why. 

Seraphina- I will don't worry. 

It started 400 years ago a young boy stumbled into our world the same way you did and found a young girl just like Lyra, headstrong and independent and Wise whereas he was reasonable and calm and brave and they completed each other. they lived together in our world and ruled fairly and with a kind heart, What they had love purer than life itself and she saw that this bond was stronger than all evil in the world and so she decided to split them up, she placed the man into your world and the girl she became broken and the magisterium who the witch worked for managed to swoop in and rule the world they ruined it frightened of anything pure or against their standards they tried to kill us and everyone who didn't agree. eventually, all the witches got together and cast a prophecy to restore peace to the world which started with you and Lyra. you both were chosen because you have the strongest wills and morals and the kindest hearts and a love purer than you think you would never hurt each other and that's what will save this world you might not be sure how but it will. 

Will- Why has it come back around again though 

Seraphina- You and Lyra are two halves of the same whole and you complete this world and should be running it just like they used to but they got separated and the world turned insane. That's, why you and Lyra must stay together. The bond has already progressed farther than it did 400 years ago and therefore it's more powerful and more deadly if someone tried to split you apart. 

Will- is this why I can touch Lyra's daemon and not hurt her. 

Seraphina- It is because you are part of her soul to the same way she is to you and Pan is an extension of you both. what you must understand Will Parry is Lyra is your priority now and you must protect her only you have the power we can help but you are her protector you are the bearer of the subtle knife. 

Will- I promise I'll protect her with my everything. 

Seraphina- Good Will Parry.  The magisterium will try to do anything to split you to up and if they do I fear what will happen to our world and yours. 

Will- Does this mean we're going to war 

Seraphina- It does Will so you must be ready and they will not take this lightly nor should we. you and Lyra are fighting for everyone in our realm, we can aid you and help to some extent but when It comes to it the final act to end the war and suffering must come from you and Lyra alone.

Will- Will it be a long journey. 

Seraphina- It will be long and treacherous but you are together so the road will be kind. I must go now as I have to gather the witches to your aid be kind Will Parry.
