Same mistakes

All hell broke loose. Someone in their team must have seen them together somehow and put two and two together. Harry and Louis were called to a meeting with their management and found themselves in an office with the CEO and a whole team, staring at them accusingly.
"So is the rumor correct, are the two of you in a relationship?" The CEO asked firmly and stared them down.

Harry sunk in his seat but Louis took his hand and gave the CEO a defiant look. He stared him directly in the eyes.
"Yes, Harry and I love each other and we're very happy together."

Harry glanced at Louis in awe. He was so brave! The CEO sighed.
"We can't have that."

"Well, that's not up to you. If Harry and I want to be in a relationship that's our business." Louis answered.

"Yeah, that's our choice!" Harry spoke up and Louis squeezed his hand.

"You're right about one thing and that is that we can't make you break up even if we recommend it." The CEO said.

Harry smiled relieved but it was too soon.
"We have discussed this with Simon and Syco. You can never come out as homosexual. You can never reveal your relationship to the public."

Louis and Harry stared at him in disbelief but he wasn't done.
"We'll give you a steady girlfriend Louis. Obviously just for show. A suitable girl will be hired. As for you Harry, we want the fans to think that you're available so we're gonna set you up on dates."

"That's insane! There's no way in hell we're gonna agree to that!" Louis growled.

"You both signed a contract. If you read the fine print you'll see that we have every right. For the next ten years, we decide how to handle this, if you last that long. You're both young." The CEO answered.

"You can't be serious." Louis gasped.

"We own you. Get used to it." The CEO snorted.

"Please don't do this. We'll keep it a secret. Please, no girlfriends!" Harry pleaded with teary eyes.

"The decision is already made. You're dismissed."

Harry broke down crying as soon as they were inside Louis's car. Louis sighed and hugged him.
"It's gonna be okay love. We'll get through this." He tried to comfort.

"How?" Harry sobbed.

"Day by day. I love you. Never forget that." Louis said.

They went to Liam's where they knew the boys were hanging out and told them everything. They were all shocked.
"That's crazy! They can't do that." Niall protested.

"I'm sure they can. Apparently it says so in our contracts." Louis sighed.

"What else is in there? What else can they do? I don't like this." Zayn said upset.

"Neither of us do. I'm afraid that we made a huge mistake signing those contracts." Liam answered.

"Can we get out?" Niall asked.

"I don't think so." Louis grunted.

Harry hadn't said a word. He had picked up a notebook and had been writing the whole time. He showed it to Louis who caressed his hair briefly before he picked up the pen. He read what Harry had written.

He handed the notebook to Zayn and took Harry in his arms. Zayn read out loud so the others could hear.
"Finish it." Louis said.

Zayn wrote the chorus once more.

"I'm glad we can transform our misery into something productive." Louis smirked.

"I'm sure it will work out. They'll back off when they see that you keep your relationship a secret. There will be no need for stunts then." Liam tried to comfort them.

He had never been more wrong.
