"Okay guys, this is the next song that's going on the album." Their vocal coach said and handed them papers. Louis smiled when he saw that he actually got to sing something on this one but his smile turned into a frown when he had read the lyrics and noticed that Niall's name wasn't on the paper. He patted him on the shoulder.

"Take it from the top!" Their vocal coach said.

Harry sang the first verse. At least Liam didn't start this one-off.

"One more time!" Their vocal coach said.

They spent countless hours in the studio but they were all determent to work hard. They hadn't seen their families in ages and when they finally got the weekend off they all took the opportunity to go home. Niall caught a flight to Ireland on Thursday night. Liam and Zayn took the train and Louis got in the car to drive home and took Harry with him. They arrived late and Louis' mum Jay was up waiting for them. She hugged her son before she came over to hug Harry as well.
"Hi, sweeties. Are you hungry?"

"We're always hungry mum." Louis answered with an eye roll.

They sat down in the kitchen while Jay prepared Tea and sandwiches. She placed it on the kitchen table and sat down to have a chat.
"So how are things going?"

"Great! We have a few more songs to record and then we have our first album." Louis answered with his mouth stuffed with bread.

They small talked while they ate and then they headed upstairs to go to sleep. They shared Louis's single bed in his old room and fell asleep.

They woke up the next morning from voices outside the door.
"Girls, let them sleep. They work hard and need their rest." Jay's voice sounded.

Louis smiled from the sound of his siblings protesting. He had missed them all so much! Harry stirred and turned around to face him, hitting him with his knee in the cramped bed.
"Sorry." Harry apologized with a rough morning voice.

"Good morning." Louis smiled.

"Good morning. What time is it?" Harry asked, looking tired.

Louis lifted his head and looked at the alarm clock on his bedside table.
"Eight."

"Early." Harry muttered and laid his head on Louis's chest and wrapped his arm around his torso.

"Yeah, my sisters wake up early." Louis grinned.

"We should get up and say hi." Harry answered and yawned.

They scrambled out of bed and got dressed before they went to the toilet to brush their teeth. When they came downstairs Louis' four sisters were sitting in the kitchen eating breakfast.
"Louis!" They all shouted and got up to hug him.

"Hi girls." Louis beamed.

They hugged Harry as well and he and Louis joined them at the table. They spent the day with Louis' family and stayed over one more night before they got in the car early on Saturday morning to drive to Harry's hometown to visit his family. Harry's mother Anne welcomed them with open arms. Harry's sister Gemma was home for the weekend as well. She had gone home when she heard that her brother was coming for a visit and she had to check that Louis was treating her little brother well. She had nothing to worry about.

On Sunday they drove back to their flat in London so they could be in the studio on Monday morning. Their little getaway had filled them with new energy.
