Raven on Pheonix on Shadow

Artemis woke up gasping for air as she sat up and looked around. She was in the same bedroom with Shadow laying by her legs watching her. He ran up and licked her face, she giggled and rubbed his head. 

"I'm ok Shadow boy, I'm ok," she told him. She read his mind along with rubbing him.

'ride or die' Shadow thought while sticking his nose out for her to fist bump. 

"ride or die," she said fist-bumping his nose lightly. "now let's get out of here...again," Artemis told Shadow. They got up and headed for the door, and it wasn't locked like last time. They ran to the elevator and Conner was standing in front of it, looking at her with a sweet smile. Artemis slightly smiled a his innocent face but stopped and walked up to him. 

"Hey...could you umm...move, please?" she asked him in a nice tone and he shook his head. Artemis's tone went from nice to dead.    

"I won't ask again," she told Conner with her irises fiery and hand on fire. Conner looked frightened, Then Kory stood in front of him with green eyes. 

"Trust me you don't want to do this" Kory warned her "oh but I do," Artemis said as she then stuck her hand out and shot fire at Kory, Kory did the same. Artemis was pushing herself, she had never fought anyone with fire powers stronger than hers. Kory pushed a little harder and pushed Artemis into the wall. Artemis got up and was beyond pissed, she was so pissed to the point to where her eyes went black with her irises fiery and her amulet glowing a fiery orange. She turned around and looked at Kory, with an evil smile.

"YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE DONE THAT" Artemis said in her demonic voice. Kory shot fire at her again and Artemis didn't even try to block it, she just stood there and took it. 

"KORY NO!" Dick yelled and Kory stopped only for Artemis to still be there, unharmed by the fire with a smirk on her face.

"NICE TRY," Artemis said then using her dark wings made of ashes to choke Kory and lift her up in the air. Rachel took action and used one of her powers to grab Artemis and throw her against the wall again.

" OH HOW FUN...AN EVEN MATCH" Artemis said. She tried to attack Rachel and she blocked it.

"THIS WILL BE FUN," Rachel said in her demonic voice. They fought, demon on demon, dark powers on dark powers, Raven on Pheionx. Rachel tried to kick Artemis but she dogged it and punched her in her side, and kicked her in the leg so she would kneel. Rachel used her powers to swarm around her and trap her, Shadow turned into a swarm and attacked Rachel. Kory shot fire at him and he turned back into his dog form and fell on the ground, hurt and whining while Rachel was trapping Artemis. Artemis heard Shadow whine in pain and lost all control, she started speaking in a demonic langue that she didn't know she could speak. In this langue she said:

" YOU HURT HIM...I HURT YOU!"  She said and no one understood what she was saying, Shadow did and barked to try and stop her. When she heard his soft bark, she tried to fight the darkness. Soon her eyes went back to their brown mix with green color as her dark wing went back into her. She fell on her hands and knees trying to control her breathing and Rachel pulled her wings back in. Artemis didn't care that everyone was staring at her, all she cared about was Shadow. She got up and ran over to him, she sat next to him on the floor and he put his head on her lap. She look at the burn mark on his side and looked at Kory with anger.

"What did you do?!" Artemis asked in anger "he was attacking Rachel...I had to do something-" Kory was cut off.

"All you had to do was let me go and I could have stopped him-" "you were in your demon state, you would have gladly watched him hurt her," Hank told her. She just looked at Shadow and could feel him dying.

"I'm so sorry Shadow...I'm so sorry, please hold on for me" she cried

"you're my best friend...I love you" she told him as he whined and licked her hand one last time before taking his last breath. Artemis sobbed as she hugged his corpse closer, she then looked at Kory.

"You killed him...you killed my dog," she told Kory as she sobbed. Dawn then sat next to Artemis and hugged her, she hugged back and cried. 

"I'm so sorry," Dawn told her as she sobbed harder

"He was all I had...he was my best friend...he was my family" Artemis sobbed so hard that she could barely breathe.

As they were hugging Artemis felt Shadow twitch and heard his bones crake. She pulled out of the hug watched as he was twitching and his bones were cracking until he stopped twitching and moving altogether. He then opened his gold orange-ish eyes and looked at Artemis. He barked and licked her face as she was thrilled that he was alive, she hugged Shadow and Shadow licked her cheek. Artemis read his mind, she wanted to know what he was thinking.

'I love you too, Artemis...ride or die' Shadow thought and all Artemis could do was hug him tighter.

"I love you too boy...ride or die," She told Shadow, they hugged for a few more moments until Dick said something.

"We need to stop fighting and talk...let us help you and your dog," Dick told the girl. She looked at Shadow who nodded at her, she closed her eyes and signed.

"ok... let's talk"
