Chapter Eleven

A very short chapter but you all will see why! I've got something in store for you. ;)

I wanted to voice my panic to my parents, but that wasn't an option. Instead, I tell them I'm going to bed early and that I would be better in the morning. They wished me a good night and I went to my room. I stayed in there for a long thirty minutes before quietly climbing out the window.

I'm now running to Stan's house, my legs already crying to me in pain. I've done a lot of running lately, huh? It's not too long until I get to Stan's door. I knock on it rapidly and press my ear to the door. I hear absolutely nothing. I try calling him again, but it only goes to voicemail. He has to be at Sydney's.

I stomp my foot angirly. Where does she live? I've never been there!

"What do I do?!" I cry out to the sky. My eyes widen as a sudden hope blooms in my chest. The eye of the storm! Angry clouds swirl just above a house not far at all. "Yes!" I shriek and run to the house.

The door is cracked which causes my panic to spike and before I can push it open further, I pause. There's talking on the other side. Well, rather Stan is talking in a calm tone and Sydney is shouting.

I feel frozen in place. I'm so scared. The memory of my previous encounter with Sydney plays in mind, causing goosebumps to trail along my skin. Should I real intervene? I seem to always make it worse.

"Sydney, listen-"
