It's not about him though, why the love is still there. That is you, and your heart. That for you, everything you did for him, that was love for how you knew it to be.
You're afraid you won't love somebody the same way that you loved him. And the truth is, you won't. You'll love somebody so much better for your mental and psychical health.
You will love somebody that deserves to receive it. Sometimes, it's not about why they left your love, it's about how they weren't the right person to be receiving it.
Somebody else out there needs you more than they do. I promise you. Love will find you. Even when you run away from it, or you feel that it has forgotten about you. Love will come back and find you. Don't push it or force it. Don't settle for something you know isn't the kind of love you deserve. Don't punish yourself by settling. You will love them, and they will deserve your love, as much as you deserve theirs.
You are young. You are beautiful. It doesn't happen the same time for everybody. Your time is yours, and yours alone. The universe knows. It will come when it is right for you.
You should re-invent yourself in the meantime. Try new things. Change up your routine. Think about who you want to be when you meet the right person. What you want in a man, make a list, a criteria of what you want in a partner, and go based off of that.
You are growing, and the process hurts and aches; and you have to do it on your own, for yourself. But, I promise you; you will be okay. You will prevail. You win this one in the end. You are so sweet, and your will is strong, and I believe in you and your dreams.
