Kenshirou was typing on his laptop when he felt a tap on his shoulder, he looked over to see Yua holding Shiro in a baby carrier basket, with the pacifer in his mouth. They had made an agreement that Yua would watch him after lunch, and Kenshirou would have the morning with him. He was still sleeping with a baby blue blanket covering him.

"Remember what I said?" Yua put a hand on her hip.

"If I can't do it, or I'm not sure of doing it get KAGU-8 for assistance," Kenshirou repeated the phrases.

"Good boy." She patted his head like a dog.

Yua placed the carrier down on the brightly colored couch and walked away, when she turned around Kenshirou, he went back to typing. Shiro was a very quiet baby, only crying when he was hungry, he was at his happiest when being read to. So it was natural that Kenshurou didn't realize the baby was awake. Shiro took the pacifer out of his mouth with his chubby hand before throwing it. Kenshirou looked over and saw his son staring at him with their shared pink eyes.

"Why good morning," he had a small smile on his face. "Did you sleep well?"

Kenshirou reached into the carrier basket and pulled him out, cradling Shiro in his arms before placing the pacifer back in. It had only been a few weeks of him and his ex-wife working together, but he was growing to love Shiro on a level only a parent can express, and learning to tolerate Yua.

"He takes a lot after you," Samon spoke up. "Very quiet."

Samon was standing behind the couch with his arms rested on the back. He gave the baby a wave and smile making him coo happily.

"When he wants to be," Kenshirou look at him. "He's beginning to get comfortable with me."

"Nuan is one of six, and her two sisters and older brother already have kids," Samon sat down beside him. "So when I would go to California to visit, the younger ones weren't comfortable around me. It's perfectly fine."

"I thought you told us it was New Jersey."

"She moved to California when she was about 13."

Shiro started reaching for his face, Kenshirou managed to give him one of his toys before Shiro could scratch him. Shiro took the toys ear in his mouth making the two smile.

"Do you plan on having children?" Kenshirou looked up to face Samon.

"Of course, I want to start a family with Nuan," he smiled at the idea of it. "But there's so much crap going on I don't know when we will. Heck, we haven't even properly talked about it."

"You're not wrong, with Yua back in my life there's a lot of things that are conflicting with each other." Kenshiro began to pinch the bridge of his nose.

"Like," Samon tilted his head.

"Feelings," was all that he muttered out.

"Feelings," Samon sat up. "What kind of feelings...if you don't mind me asking.

"As much as I hate to admit it, feelings about her," he said watching Shiro hold one of his fingers. "A part of me can't even be in the same room as her and wants her to leave, but the other part of me loves her."

"Love," Same was shocked. "You still have feelings for her?"

"No, not like that," Kenshirou sighed. "Love as in the sense that she's still the woman I married, she never let anyone change her. I fell in love with her because of that. It's on a thin line between that and respect, no matter how much I want to say she's out of her damn mind sometimes, Yua brought something into my life I've never loved so much."

Kenshirou smiled as Shiro cooed happily at him. His son was everything to him.

"So you're saying you would never talk shit about her no matter what she did, because at the end of the day she's the mother of your child?" Samon raised an eyebrow.

"Exactly," Kenshirou placed Shiro back in the carrier. "And I hope she feels the same."

Samon nodded, it kinda made sense to him. He wasn't a father yet, and as far as he knows not one anytime soon. Samon looked over to see Kenshirou rocking the carrier to try to get Shiro to sleep for a little longer, the baby's pink eye were getting heavy. It pulled at something in his heart, children were never a priority to him until Nuan started getting nieces and nephews. When he was younger he loathed the idea of having anything that wasn't a pet to take care of, but when Samon held one of Nuan's nieces for the first time, it completely changed. The love a parent has for their child is a bond that will never be broken.

Shiro was fast asleep, pacifer in mouth, stuffed toy snuggled beside him as he was under a fluffy blanket. Samon quietly walked away from the father son duo, to go back to work.
