Tommy
--
It was windy, no doubt about it.
I groaned as the breeze whipped through my blonde hair, messing it up for the fourth time now. Tubbo laughed behind me, mockingly, as I tried to straighten the mop on my head. It was times like these that made me want a beanie or something, but I had always been too scared to ask Wilbur for one.
"Oh hush, Tubbo-" I told him jokingly. "Man's gotta look good!"
We had been taking a stroll up the river, soaking in the warm sun rays despite the cold wind that nipped at our noses.
The next few strides we shared were spent in an eerie silence. Even the wind ceased to blow as I was filled with a light, airy feeling throughout my entire body. The blood in my arms and legs went cold as pins and needles replaced the thoughts in my head. I heard my raspy breathing and I looked to my right side to see Tubbo's concerned expression staring back at me-
Then I went spiraling down to the dirt.
--
I opened my eyes to see Tubbo standing over me, shaking my shoulders gently as his warm breath fought away the cold air lingering on my face. Slowly, I brought a hand to my forehead, pulling it away and examining my fingers carefully. I was upset by the fact that they came back coated in red.
As soon as my alertness was noticed, a pair of thin arms were wrapped around me. They were quickly pulled away, however, when I drew in a sharp breath.
"Sorry-" Tubbo muttered, giving me space. "A-are you alright, Tommy?" He asked, watching as I struggled to regain consciousness.
"I'll be alright," I groaned back, sitting up only to be met with a throbbing pain in my head. I let out a hiss in response to it. "W- What happened?"
"Let's get you somewhere safer-" Tubbo muttered, standing back and offering me his hand as a form of polite assistance.
I shook my head, denying his help. It was probably just allergies. Slowly, I pulled my weak limbs up one-by-one until I stood taller than him again.
"Is here n-" I paused, waiting for the rush of pain that went straight to my brain to die down a bit before continuing. "Is here not safe enough already?"
"Well- I heard noises from across the river while you were passed out," Tubbo explained, watching as my face fell into a more relaxed expression. "Just. . . Precautions,"
"I'm sure we could keep walking along the river and we'd be fine," I assured him.
Tubbo sighed, nodding his head a little before turning to look upriver further. "Where exactly are we going, anyway?" He asked.
"I thought we were going on an adventure," I replied, reminding him of our journey.
"Well- we were- are you sure that you're okay enough to keep going?" Tubbo worried. "It is getting a little late. . ."
I grabbed his wrist and started to sprint forward. "ADVENTURE WAITS FOR NO MAN, AND I AM THE BIGGEST MAN EVER!" I shouted into the breeze, laughing as Tubbo tripped over his loosely-tied sneakers while trying to keep up with my speed.
The path we were traveling on started to narrow, and I slowed my pace, wincing from another sharp pain that shot into my head.
"This path doesn't seem to go on forever," Tubbo pointed out while I took a quick break, kneeling over by the stream and splashing some water in my face. The ice cold water stung like needles in the pores of my skin, but it was oddly refreshing. A high pitched ringing filled my ears, and the sudden feeling of passing out hit me in the chest, but I just dug my fingers into the mushy dirt and waited for the rush to pass.
"Tommy?" Tubbo questioned me again, crouching down beside me when I didn't answer. "You aren't okay. . . Are you?"
I let out a shakey sigh. Tubbo was certainly catching onto my lies, but I was determined to not let him worry about me. I stood up quickly this time, hiding the pain behind an innocent smile. "I'm feeling the best I've ever felt, Tubbo!" I giggled, causing my friend to lighten up a bit, although, he still wasn't convinced. I then had a brilliant idea. "Hey, let's cross this stream, shall we?"
Tubbo's expression told me loud and clear that he didn't like my idea very much, but after a few moments of thought, begging, pleading, and many sighs, we were off.
The initial temperature of the water was the worst, and it stung our legs far more than it had my face a few minutes prior. Luckily, the feeling numbed a bit after we really got moving.
"I've heard there's bad people on the other side of this river-" Tubbo expressed his feelings defeatedly, shivering oh-so slightly due to the cold temperatures of the water, plus the seemingly endless wind.
It made me giggle as I watched Tubbo helplessly try to keep the hair out of his eyes, to no avail. His hair was medium length, and the breeze kept making it flutter back into his eyes, no matter how hard he tried to keep it away.
"Shut up, Tommy!" Tubbo joked with me, obviously hearing the one sided laughter coming from behind him.
"Now you know how I feel!"
By this time, we were already on the bank of the other side of the river. It felt odd looking back at where we stood only moments ago, remembering every little trouble that those woods held. Pain. Pain, but also good times.
It was quiet. Way too quiet. Whipping my head back and forth frantically, I found the reason that the area lacked noise.
"Tubbo?" I called out into the trees behind me, waiting for a response from the boy who had up and disappeared within a second of me turning away from him.
"Tubbo- This isn't funny!" I yelled to the trees again, this time, however, a growing fear laced my words.
"TUBB-"
I was cut off mid-scream by a hand clamping over my mouth from behind, rendering my cries useless. I tried to spin around to see who had grabbed me, but it was no use.
It was reeeally a horrible to pass out, but surprise, surprise-
I passed out.
