Tubbo
--

I sat quietly in my damp cave, accompanied by the only person that had ever taken pity on me- Tommy. It was a little unexpected that he showed up out of the blue and asked to stay with me, but I would've never objected- it seemed he actually cared, and I'd never throw that away.

We were stashed away from the cold in the very cave I had resided in for the past months, slowly throwing kindling into the growing fire in the center of a makeshift campfire circle Tommy helped me make once. Shadows danced on the cave walls as we were illuminated by the flicking flames, it was nice basking in the warmth it so graciously emitted.

The blonde across from me cleared his throat, breaking the ominous silence as I looked up expectantly.

"Hey Tubbo, I've been meaning to tell you why I just showed up here-" Tommy said slowly, sounding as if he was nervous about my reaction. I nodded him on, encouraging him to continue.

"Well, the person who I was fighting in the woods that day?" I nodded again. He was referring to the day he found me in the bushes, scared and alone. "He wasn't the only one I lived with," This caught me by surprise initially, as Tommy had previously claimed that him and this 'Techno' person were the only two in his camp, but I kept listening, assuming he had a reason for the small lie.

There seemed to be a lump in his throat as Tomym struggled to spit out his next sentence. "There were two more, Phil and Wilbur-" A sniff proceeded the snipet of the sentence he choked out. "But- Phil had already been murdered by the time I met you. . ." A flash of pain shot across Tommy's face as he muttered those last words. I felt sympathy for him, that must've been horrible. I dared not ask what happened to poor Phil, but it was something that certainly didn't sit well with my friend.

"Techno- the man I was with
in the forest- Went to get revenge on the bastard that killed Phil," Tommy paused, sucking in a deep breath of air in through his nose. "He came back covered in blood- and Will snapped-"

I winced, gathering up enough courage to ask a question, "It wasn't his blood, was it?" I leaned forward as I listened, sitting attentively as a child might've.

"No- He killed GeorgeNotFound," Tommy muttered, crossing his arms matter-of-factly. He must've heard the gasp escape my lips, so he got back into the explanation.

"Wilbur had been stressed because Techno hadn't been home for over a day, and then he showed up covered in blood that wasn't even his-" A gulp was audible as the events were re-lived by the boy. "Will snapped and killed Techno, so I ran away and came here. . ." Tommy sniffed, tears beginning to form in his eyes.

I stared him down, mouth agape. "Did he follow you-?" I muttered, hoping for the best as Tommy angrily rubbed the tears away.

He shook his head uncertainly. "I don't know- I didn't see him on the way here," There was a pause, "But he's been certainly unpredictable lately,"

With that, we were quiet again. Teo tired ragamuffins, sitting in a small cave, listening to the sounds of the crackling fire and cricket ambiance that filled the air.

The last thing I remember were the sad, fuzzy, blue eyes of Tommy silently weeping across from me- And then sleep engulfed my sights like a wildfire.

I awoke at dawn, lifting my head to see the smoldering cinders of the fire left to burn out after our discussion last night. Tommy was nowhere to be seen. With a yawn, I dragged myself off of the moist dirt floor and made my way outside.

The sun's rays shone straight into my eyes as I emerged, feeling the warmth leave my body as I did so. I quickly looked around for Tommy, but seeing him nowhere, I decided instead to go on a walk through the forest. It seemed like a nice idea at the time, but I was in for a surprise.

Taking the trail I used mostly because of its beautiful scenery, I started down it at a moderate pace, feeling the morning breeze ruffle the brown hairs on my head as it drifted past. The sun was now tolerable, and I smiled as it wove its way through the breaks in the roofed leaves above me, sending spirals of light illuminating the leaves that crunched under my feet. The greens and yellows of the surrounding forestry caught my eye, and I grinned as its hues blended into a beautiful visual piece.

I came upon the clearing I usually spent my days in playing with the bugs and forest critters, and to my delight, I saw Tommy already wide awake and waiting for me. He waved me over as if nothing had been said the night before, which was refreshing. I bounded over to him, almost tripping over my own clumsy feet in the process. Tommy held up his finger to reveal a small caterpillar wriggling across it, reds and blacks speckled its frail body. I giggled at the sight, causing a laugh from Tommy, which eventually spiraled into a breathless fight for air from both of us.

By the time we regained our senses, I was hunched over, grasping at my stomach in innocent ecstasy after cackling over a silly little insect.

It was all fun and games, that was, until Tommy got this wild look in his eyes. Time seemed to stop as he shushed me, a fiery look of fear burning in his retinas. I stopped the last bit of trickling laughter instantly, sitting up and pointing my attention towards the place Tommy's finger pointed warningly into the brambles.

"There's a fire in my brain, and I'm burning up," A man's voice sang, alluringly. It wasn't too far off from our current position, which confused me as to why we didn't hear it before. I noticed whoever possed it had a similar accent to Tommy and me, probably a different part of England, though. "Oh my, oh my,"

Tommy pressed his back up against a bush, trying his best to hide as the voice grew closer.

"Get back," He hissed at me, clearly taking this very seriously. "It's Wilbur-"

I felt my eyes grow wide with ignorant fear, as I had no idea what this 'Wilbur' person was really like- But if it was enough to scare Tommy, I didn't want him to feel uncomfortable with re-living it anymore than he needed to by asking unnessicary questions. I shuffled on my hands and knees over to him, wincing at every cracking twig and leaf that acted like revealing landmines as I pressed my weight on them.

"Every word I say is kindling, but the smoke clears when you're around," I scooted a little more towards Tommy, hoping the small bit of human contact would calm him. The man's singing seemed to get closer and closer, and judging by the sounds of breaking sticks, he seemed to be getting closer, too.

"Won't you stay with me, my darling, when my walls start burning down, down-" I could feel Tommy's breathing hitch as Wilbur's singing abruptly stopped.

"Tommy?" He gasped. Then a pair of mocha brown eyes fell on me.

"Who's your little friend, here?"
