THE NOT DATE

IT WAS BARELY DAWN WHEN SHE WOKE UP. The sky was a monochrome shade of grey and black and you could see the early rays of light emerging from the horizon if you peeked from behind the curtains. She felt the weight of his arm resting on the dip of her waist and his hand under the pillow they were sharing. A thin line of drool was leaking out of the corner of his mouth and forming a small pool on the pillow.
Not really thinking about what she was doing, she reached out and stroked his messy hair. Her slender fingers combed through his ash blonde hair and then went down to his neck. She caressed his jaw as she softly sighed and began to get to get up. She still slept with him albeit her mother taking her up. If she were to answer honestly, she really enjoyed her times with Bakugou. She liked the way he touched her and the way his skin felt against hers. She liked that she got to be in his presence and be with him.
She knew he didn't feel anything towards her. It was just lust that they expressed to each other in bed almost every day. But she'd take whatever form of love she'd get from him. That would be fine but she was slightly hoping for him to reciprocate her feelings. Feeling heat rise up in her cheeks, she put her hands on the sides of her flushed face, Geez, Kaya, you just slept with this guy a few times and you already have feelings for him.
Knocking the thoughts out of her head, she removed Bakugou's T-shirt she was wearing the last night and wore her own clothes. Pulling on her tracks and her grey shirt, she began wearing her boots. Gritting her teeth in annoyance when she dropped her boot and the thud echoed through the room, she turned to see if the noise woke Bakugou up. She waited for a reaction from him and unfortunately for her, she got one.
The blonde opened one eye to see the other side of the bed empty and then turned to try and see what had fallen down on the floor to see a guilty looking Effy. He gave her a glare that was the least threatening and buried his face in his pillow. "The fuck you doin'?" he mumbled. Relieved she wasn't dead yet, she went closer to him and whispered in his ear, "I'm going. See ya at school." He felt a soft kiss being placed on his cheek and then heard the door opening and closing shortly after before slipping back into the opening arms of sleep.

"In ballet, your not bound by anything. Of course there's gravity to hold us down but we defy it. We can't fly, so we jump. Nice, isn't it? In ballet... in ballet you're free."
She recited those words again and again in her head, the essence of the voice that spoke still lingering like a ghost in her mind. She tried to put a face with that voice but she couldn't quite remember. Those were the only words that were prominent in her mind as she moved across the empty space in her basement, just simply dancing and playing around with choreography. She planned to go to the beach at midnight and she planned to ask Bakugou to come along. Of course, all plans may not be executed.
