WONDERLAND
_________
"WELL THEN, EFFY'S FRIEND, WELCOME TO WONDERLAND." The duo walked past his desk and into the main area where everything was set up.
"You know him?" Bakugou questioned hooking a thumb past his shoulder, referring to the guy at the desk. "Uh-huh. I know most of the people here."
"So you come here often?"
"You know," she said leading him to the snack table, "for a guy a who gets straight A's, your very stupid. Of course, I come here often." Bakugou just growled and took the bottle of cola she had handed him and waited as she snatched a packet of cigarettes from another table. Once they were seated on one of the logs surrounding the bonfire where they could see everyone socializing, she spoke, "So, listen up. There are rules here." The blonde boy raised an eyebrow at her words but listened anyway.
"First of all, you're really not allowed to bring friends here. But you can if you're a regular. This is a closely-knit group of people here, that's basically how it's formed—"
"Woah, woah. At least explain the whole fucking thing, Aki."
She chuckled and took a sip of her chilled cola, "Okay, okay. So Wonderland was basically formed by a group of misfits. It's like this small party we hold every week or so at this beach after midnight but now that most schools are ending in two weeks, they hold it every few days. Most people here are high-schoolers, some even in college. So every time we come here, we do the craziest of things. It's so much fun."
A smile was etched across her lips that he noted to be the most genuine one yet. Bakugou took a sip of his cold drink and listened to her continue, "Now, the rules." she looked at him before continuing, "First, no using Quirks."
"Eh?! Why no—" She put her hand on his mouth to shut him up, "Shut up and listen, Bakugou."
"Second, whenever you play games like truth or dare or whatever, you are supposed to do whatever you are told. No exceptions." She took her hand off his mouth, leaving him glaring and his face reddening. "Third, no telling secrets to anybody outside this group of people. That's wrong in all ways." She stayed silent for a minute, tapping her chin with her finger, in thought. "I think that's about it. So," she brought her half-empty bottle of cola up, expecting him to clink his bottle with hers, which he did reluctantly, "Cheers."
He stared ahead, drinking his cold beverage, looking at the other people around there. His eyes landed on a particular girl who wore a nice summer dress and chatted with two guys. She was rather attractive to the eye but he thought nothing much of her. Effy smirked and whispered in his ear, "Like what you see?"
He looked away, "Shut the fuck up," he grumbled.
Effy couldn't deny the sliver of jealousy growing in the pit of her stomach but ignored it. She had nothing against the girl that had caught his eye. She respected the fact that he could go after whoever he wanted. He was his own person and she had no right to object. "The girl you were staring at—"
