Lily's POV

I was walking down the hall when I heard someone shout my name. I turned around cautiously, because no ever called my name at school. I turned to see Locke running right toward me. "Hey, Locke. How are y-" He ran right up to me and threw his arms around my waist, picking me up, knocking the wind right out of me. I rapped my arms around his neck for balance. He spun me around a few times, then gently set me down, but not removing his arms from my waist, only relaxing them. "-ou?" I said as I took a breath. He leaned back to look at me from head to toe, releasing me from his firm grip.

"Good." He said as he smiled, "You look nice today." I laughed.

"Yeah, an old GMM shirt and mom jeans are the latest fashion." I said sarcasticly with a smirk on my face.

"You make it look sexy." He looked at me with eyes that screamed 'I WANT YOU'. I looked at him in awe. Did Locke Mclaughlin just tell me I was sexy?!

"Locke, are you feeling okay? I'm surprised you're even talking to me, usually you won't be seen with me in public." I stated cautiously.

"My social status doesn't mean as much to me as you do. I would give up any popular reputation I have if it means I can be with you." He looked dead serious.

"Gee, that's a lot of work for your friend." I said semi- under my breath.

"That's the thing. There's something I've been meaning to tell you, I've realized that, for quite some while now, I've began to have feelings for you. Not friend feelings." I blushed.

"Locke." He stepped toward me and grabbed my hand.

"Lily, I really like you. And I know it will be difficult, but I'm willing to put forth all the effort to be with you." He looked straight into my eyes. I just stood still staring at him in disbelief.

"Locke, you have no idea how long I've waited to hear those words from you." I looked down. He lifted his other hand to my cheek, which was blazing red, and brushed my hair out of my face. I looked up and he leaned his head into mine. We were so close, our noses touched. I closed my eyes and prepared for the moment I've waited for my whole life, kissing Locke Mclaughlin. He paused.

"Lily!" I kept my eyes closed not wanting to ruin the moment.

"No, shhh."

"Lily, come on.

"Please, just once." I pleaded, leaning in farther.

"Lily! Lily Neal!! Come on, let's go, get up!"

****

As I opened my eyes I realized I was not in the hallway at school about to kiss Locke, but in my bed with my mom shaking me to wake up.

"Lily! If you don't get up now you're going to be late. You must have slept through your alarm." My mother threatened.

"Okay, I'm up" I said as I rolled over quite depressed about my dream.

I got up and got dressed in my old GMM shirt and mom jeans, hoping that if I dressed as dream me, real me would have the same expirences. I pulled my hair up into a bun and walked upstairs to the kitchen, as my bedroom was in the basement. I walked into the kitchen to see my dad and brother, Lincoln, sitting at the table eating Cheerios.

"Good morning sunshine!" My dad said as he looked up from his laptop. "How are you this fine morning?"

"Eh."

"Well that's always good to hear, I'm so glad my daughter feels comfortable enough to talk to me." He smiled and took a bite of his cereal. "Speaking of children, where is my son?"

"Dad, I'm right here." Lincoln said.

"No, I meant my good son." Dad smiled.

"Yeah, still right here." Lincoln bluntly stated, but then laughed.

"Dork, that's what you are, my dork son!" We all laughed, and Lando walked in clueless.

"Finally! Why aren't you ready to go, you're bus comes in 5 minutes!" My mom said, chastising my youngest sibling. "Are you two ready?" as she looked over at Lincoln and I.

"Yep!" Lincoln stated as he stood up and placed his dishes in the sink. "Oh, by the way, can we pick up Locke on our way to school, his car broke down, and he needs a ride." My muscles tensed, how could I ever look at Locke again after that dream? Would he live up to my dream expectations?

"Sure, let's go" I grabbed my keys and back-pack, and Lincoln and I walked out to the car and got in. I turned the key and began driving to Locke's. As we pulled up, Locke walked out his front door and to the car. My heart started to beat faster as he got closer to the car. He opened the car door and crammed his 6'4 build into the backseat.

"Hey."
