Summary: Dan and Phil have been communicating solely through the kik messaging app, and have really gotten to know each other on a personal level. But what happens when Phil wants to actually meet IRL?
(Got this idea with consent from ashtonsbandana and her story Kik.)~ ~ ~
Dan had just walked out the door of his flat when his phone chimed in his pocket. He pulled it out and stare at the notification with a grin before unlocking his phone.

wat r u wearing? 😏Dan rolled his eyes at the screen, but he was still smiling as he typed out a reply.

😩Dan locked his phone again, stuffing it back into his pocket with a grin before heading off to where he was suppose to be meeting PJ.
It was an unhealthy relationship that him and Phil had, he knew. That fact that they'd only ever talked to each other on Kik wasn't what most people would think of as very good, or even safe. There was the ever popular chance that Phil could be some serial rapist trying to find victims through the Internet, or maybe he was one of those con artist that wanted to steal his ID. But did anyone even do that anymore, really?
Dan and Phil had been talking for over a month now, and that was definitely not a time period any felon would go through. Especially not talking about music and favorite types of socks. He was just a really good friend.
And it wasn't like they were total strangers. Given that they'd been talking for so long, they knew the basic info about each other, and even some more personal things. Phil was probably the only one who knew about Dan's obsession with Evan Peters. And they'd shared enough selfies to know that they weren't lying about their age or anything.
But other people just didn't approve. Mostly his friends, since they were the only ones who actually knew about Phil. No matter how much he explained that Phil was extremely harmless, they would always be on his back about it, putting in their own ideas about Phil's true motives. He couldn't find it in him to take their concern seriously.
Dan huddled into his coat more, power walking the last two blocks and gratefully pushing the door of the coffee shop open. It was always warm in here, which was why it was his favorite place to go whenever it got cold enough.
He saw PJ sitting at their usual table in the back and headed over there, not bothering to take off his jacket. He sat down with a sigh of relief, rubbing his hands together to warm them up faster.
"Why the fuck is it so cold?" Dan complained. He was never a big fan of anything below fifty degrees, and was always reluctant to leave his place during times like this.
"Maybe the Winter Beast just isn't in a good mood today." PJ replied vaguely, looking out the window next to them. Dan had long ago grown use to his friend's weird way of talking and his broad imagination.
"Mhm." Dan agreed, and stood up. "Well, I'm gonna go order, so don't piss off the Winter thing anymore while I'm gone."
He did enjoy spending time with his friends, there was no lying about that. But he'd found it... not as exciting as he'd use to. Now that he had a friend who he could 'hang out' with without going outside, he found his real friends a lot more effort to keep up with.
Him and Peej were really close, though, and Dan would never think of abandoning him.
"So, how's your life been?" PJ asked when Dan sat down again. Dan sighed and shrugged.
