"Just drink it, Y/N. I thought you liked butterbeer," George says, handing me the drink.
"Fine," I sigh, taking a sip of the drink. "So, how's classes going?"
He shrugs. "Fine. How about you? Gotten any bad grades?"
Of course I have bad grades. But I'm not about to tell him that. "I'm doing terrible, actually," I say, immediately bringing my hand to my mouth. "George!"
He laughs. "Good luck, Y/N!" George smiles, running off.
Bloody hell. He put veritaserum in the drink. I watch him disappear behind the corner.
Minutes later, I approach the common room. It's filled with Gryffindors, all laughing and talking.
"Y/N! Come play with us!" Fred says, waving me over.
I sit cross-legged beside him. "What are you playing?" I question.
"Truth or dare," George says eagerly.
No, no, no. "I really should do my homework. Maybe another time," I shrug, beginning to stand.
George pulls me back to the floor. "You'll go first. Truth or dare."
"Dare," I reply confidently. As long as I avoid truth.
His eyes gleam mischievously. "I dare you to tell us your crush."
"I don't really want to."
"Is it someone in this room?" George asks.
I bite my lip, but the truth comes out. "Yes."
"Oh, I see. Is it one of the fine Weasley brothers?" George continues on.
How I hate this boy right now. "God, George. Yes."
This is escalating quickly, and I couldn't be more furious. I really need to leave. I stand abruptly, walking away from the game.
"Could it be Fred?" George finally questions knowingly.
I stop, turning around to face him, gritting my teeth. "Yes," I mutter. Then I run. Out of the room, away from the humiliation. I can't believe he did that.
"Y/N!" Fred calls after me. "Wait!"
I stop, turning to him. "I didn't mean to-George put veritaserum in my drink."
Fred doesn't hesitate. His lips are on mine and I'm kissing back. Maybe George wasn't the bad guy after all.
