~Jughead POV~

"It was thrilling, Toni."

"She helped you, it's thrilling?" 

"No, it's the fact.."

"You like her" Toni smilies

"What? No, what makes you think that" I said

"Ask her out, I know you like her."

"Pops, meet me there at 7" Betty said coming from behind us

I looked at Toni, my jaw dropped, she started laughing

"Hey!" I said to betty, as we sat in a booth at pops

"Hi!" She said

"I wanted to talk to you Jughead." She said

"About what?" I smiled

"Your dad."

Right as the words left her mouth I lost my smile

"What about him?"

"He is abusive. I see it. It needs to stop."

"I know you mean your best, but it's nothing to do..with you.." I said chucking

She looked away from me, and looked back

"If you don't get away from him Juggy, I'll call social services to help you" she grabbed my hand

"You didnt want to go on a date, did you? You wanted to get me away from my dad." I said moving my hand

"Jug..you need a better life, friends, family a-"

"What I need is for you to but out of my home life, you obviously didn't want to come here for a good time."

"Let's be honest Jughead. You don't even like me. I don't really like you, in that way. We can be friends..for now."

"Actually Betty, I did like you, and you want to be "friends" until you be the big great northside hero who saved the southsider from his dad."

"Fine, be that way I'll save your 𝖺𝗌𝗌 some other way." She said getting up and walking out of pops 

I took off my beanie, and drank my coffee, laying my head on the window, the bell rings, I hear the door close. Footsteps come to me

"Hey, it's Jughead right?"

"Depends on who's asking" I turn my head to see Archie Andrews standing there

"Need company, I need to apologize" he said

"Go ahead, not like I have anything else to do.." I said as Archie sat down.

"The day we met, I was a jerk, I was upset with my dad and mom..they just divorced and I took it out on you guys."

"Sorry for the trouble with your parents, and for..calling you an 𝖺𝗌𝗌𝗁𝖺𝗍..." I said chuckling

We laughed, as I put my beanie back on

"So I saw betty walking out of here, something up?"

"She is trying to fix something she doesn't know anything about, and the thing is I thought I liked her.." I said looking down

"She tends to do that..it's annoying" he said

"But hey, she will leave you alone if you show her you don't want to be..betty-fied" he said as I look back up

"I hope so..by chance you didn't..bring a car did you? Betty left me here and she was my ride.." I said slightly frowning

"Yeah of course man" we get in his dads truck

"So where you live?" He asked

"Oh..just drop me off at the school.." I said

"Dude, I can take you to your house, I'm not judging" he said laughing

I looked down, Archie stopped laughing

"Oh...if you want you can stay over, I have a air mattress?" He said

"That would be nice" I said

"Alrighty let's get on the road!"

We drove to archies house, and he set the air mattress up, I watched him as I sat in his chair

"All ready, oh! And here, I got you one of my shirts, and sweat pants for a change of clothes!" He said handing me clothes, I grabbed them smiling

"Thanks" I went to the bathroom and changed, coming back to see him on his bed on his phone, shirtless

I sat in the air mattress, just to hear a *POP*, I start sinking down to the floor, I get up and lift the mattress to see a nail from the wall in the mattress

"Oh..I'm so sorry.." I said

"It's fine, totally fine!" Archie said as his dad walked in

"You guys not sleeping?" Fred said

"The mattress popped, dad" Archie said

"Well your bed is big enough for tonight, I'll buy another mattress tomorrow, sleep well guys" fred said closing the door

"If your not cool with us in the bed sleeping together I'll sleep on the floor" Archie laughed

"Nah it's fine, it's what..bro...do" I laughed getting in the bed, scooting closer to the wall

Archie go in as well, facing the other way.

I was warm. I felt like I was safe..

I opened my eyes a little to see Archie holding me, along with my hands around him, Archie opened his eyes as well

We both lightly scream, getting up
