A/N: Here's chapter fiveeee
Have fun! Make sure to comment :)))
After dinner I went up to my room and straight to the window sill. My eldest brother had just informed me that me and a few of my brothers would be going shopping tomorrow morning for school supplies and clothes. I've been working for a few years now and try not to spend too much of it, so I've saved quite a bit. Well, that is for a 14 year old.
I open my book, but never actually start reading. I'm too busy thinking. In the past 12 hours, my foster father went to jail, I found out that I have 6 older brothers, moved to LA, and left everything behind in Boise. I also think about those stupid rules. Yeah, there's no way I'm following all of them. I just need to pretend like I'm fine with them, so they don't get suspicious.
Out of my 6 brothers only three of them seem remotely happy to meet me; Matteo, Domenic, and Ricardo. Marcello looks like he wants to kill me in my sleep, Valerious looked like he couldn't care less to meet his sister, and Lorenzo acts like he doesn't give a shit about me.
A knock on the door brings me back to reality. At least someone in this house knows how to knock.
"Come in," I call out while putting my book away. I watch as the door opens to reveal Matteo. Okay, I can deal with that.
"Hey Lora! Some of us are downstairs. We were thinking that maybe we could all talk and get to know each other better." He says happily.
Lora? That's a new one. Alex and Russell always called me El.
"Yeah, sure." I shrug my shoulders while grabbing my phone and heading to the door. We walk in silence over to what I assume is one of the boys bedrooms. They're all talking and laughing as we walk in and I wonder if it will ever be like this with us.
"Hey Lora, come sit here." Domenic calls to me while pointing to the other side of the beanbag chair he's sitting in.
"Lora?" I question as I walk over and sit next to him. I look around the room and see that Domenic, Valerius and the twins are here.
"It's cute!" He smiles. Damn, does this guy ever not smile. I just roll my eyes in response.
"Looks like little Elora here is already breaking the rules." Marcello says smugly
"Do any of you guys even have rules?" I questioned them. They all shook their heads, slightly amused. "Exactly, he's literally only giving them to me because I'm a girl. And I know for a fact that all of you guys drank, partied, and got with girls when you were my age." They all shrugged their shoulders, which only confirmed what I had said.
"So how was it in Idaho?" Valerius asked, speaking for the first time.
"It was fine, I don't really know. I wouldn't really recommend it." I answered truthfully. "So what's Lorenzo's job and what's so special about the third floor." I question. They all share a look of pure terror.
Okay, that's really weird. I literally asked what our brothers job was.
They finally compose themselves and Domenic says, "We have a family business. Enzo runs it and Ric and I help out. Sometimes Val and the twins help too. We devote the third floor to the business, so there's really no need for you to go up there"
They're definitely not as good at lying as Enzo. Any normal person wouldn't have been able to tell, but from the amount of books I read, I know how to tell when someone's lying. I decide that I'll need to figure out what they actually do, and why they're trying so hard to cover it up before I decide if I'm staying here or not.
We talk a little more and just get to know each other. I learn their favorite colors, what sports they play and a bunch of other things like that.
I tap on my phone screen to check the time and I see all of my notifications from Alex and Russel.
"Woah, who keeps calling and texting you." Domenic says while looking over my shoulder.
"I haven't told my friends that I moved yet," I responded, half paying attention.
I see an incoming call from Alex pop up and my brothers all give me a look to pick it up. I pick it up and as it's connecting, I take it off speaker and put it up to my ear. Just as I finish doing this, Domenic takes the phone out of my hand, puts it on speaker, and then hands it back to me. Well then, I guess they'll get to meet Alex and Russell today.
Phone Call-
Alex- Where the fuck are you El?
Russell- We've called you like 400 fucking times. Elisa told us you moved to LA, and now you aren't picking up, so what is going on?
Elora- Um, funny story actually.
Alex- Just say it El.
Elora- It turns out that I have six older brothers that live in LA, and I just moved in with them today. There's nothing I can do about it. And you're on speaker just so you know.
Russell- Holy shit, you have brothers?
Elora- Yep, six of them.
Alex- Nope, I don't like this. How do I know they're not going to hurt you?
Domenic- What the fuck? We wouldn't touch her.
Alex- Is that one of them? Let me talk to them.
Elora- Alex! Stop. We'll talk about this later.
Russell- No, I don't want you that far from us, I'm calling Alex's and my social worker. We'll stay in a house in LA near who. Send me the address.
Elora- Wait actually!
Alex- Of course Elora, we stick together.
Elora- Awww, I miss you guys. I'm sending the address right now.
Russell- We miss you too El. We're gonna call out social workers now, hopefully we can be in LA soon. Don't do anything stupid.
Elora- Yeah, yeah I know.
Alex- We're serious El, be careful. We have to go now. Love you.
Elora- Love you guys.
Russell- Love you guys too.
Elora- Bye!
I end the call and look up to see four angry looking brothers.
A/N: And that's chap. 5!!!
