From Present to Future

Chapter 4

With that the projection stopped. All was quiet before one spoke.

"Man, that was intense." That was Kiba. Never one for the tense situations.

"So true. I feel pity for you, forehead." Sighed Ino.

"That should be in few months time". It was Shikamaru this time. He said something all of them noticed but none dared to say it. The future projection was of few months from now. Meaning Sasuke would defect from konoha and they will have a new Hokage in few months.

So now question is where is third hokage and where does orochimaru fit in this.

They all have questions but before they could seek the answer the projection started again.

The third Hokage himself was surprised, learning of his two students. One took his place while other caught another prey. Needless to say he knew what happened to him. Afterall he was the one to first test the sphere before deciding to do this.

A 16 yr old Sakura, was seen in a cave facing a red head ninja. Another old lady stood beside her holding two puppets in her hand. While the young genins may not know her, the elders knew for she was Chiyo-sama, a Suna elder. The red head they faced was none other than Sasori. Suna's puppet master before he disappeared. And they were having a face off.

The red head had his 100 puppets out and was now facing the two kunoichis.

(The fight happened just like in anime. So not gonna explain)

Sakura slumped on her knees panting. Finally they defeated the Akatsuki member. She looked around to see all the puppets destroyed and only Sasori left. Well having his last breath. She looked back to see a lying Chiyo-sama. Without her help, she wouldn't have won this fight over. She got up, went to the dying Sasori, took his Akatsuki ring out and walked back towards Granny Chiyo. Injecting her with the antidote, she helped her to stand and together they got out of the cave.

She exited the cave and chakra punched the ground. The force of punch shook the mountain and rocks fell from above, before finally closing the cave enterance.

"Well, atleast we buried his body. I am just sad I didnt get to play enough" Sakura pouted. Her bipolar disorder showing up a bit. Not that she cares. She loves her both side- gentle and sadistic.

Turning around to face Elder Chiyo, she gave a warm smile and spoke, " Shall we leave Chiyo-sama. Naruto must have already saved Kazekage-sama by now"

"Hmm. That friend of yours truly care for Gaara"

" Yes, they are brothers in everything but blood. Or as Naruto likes to call it. They are Jinchuriki brothers." Sakura replied, now giving full blown smile, remembering her newly returned friend's words.

"He has number nine in him?", questioned the elder.

" Yes and Gaara has one."

" Hahaha. Is that why he called himself elder brother"

"Yupp", chirped a very happy Sakura.

" I am glad" Elder Chiyo said. "I am glad this shinobi world has young people like you. Us elders have corrupted this world with our false ideals and actions. I'm happy seeing Suna's future and Konoha's future are in such secure hands. It seems I can finally die in peace."

Sakura only smiled, looking up in sky, feeling proud that she is finally useful to her team. That she can now stand together with those two and not wait for others to clean up the mess.
