It was night time in Konoha and except for the patrolling ninjas, the rest of Konoha has already ended the day and retired for the bed. Everyone except our blonde Hokage, who at the moment was sitting on the window sill of his room. His eyes were looking at the bright moon outside, trying to find someone's shadow in it but even he knew it was impossible. He had been sitting and waiting like this for almost two hours now. But that person still didn't appear. Man, what did he expect. Ofcourse the other person wouldn't come. His mission is a risky one and coming here would definitely jeopardize his rogue status. But still he had some hope. Today was their daughters' third birthday. Naruto truly hoped the man would come for them, if not for him.

For past two months, Naruto has had no contact with the Uchiha. Reason he don't know. All he got was a scroll with two lines in it.

I am safe. Don't contact me unless I do so.

After that, the man practically disappeared. Ofcourse in other circumstances, Naruto would have already assaulted the Akatsuki base in search of his lover but that was pure stupidity. Even he knew that. His lover put so much effort and risk in order to get acknowledged by his daughters and this village. Despite never saying, Naruto knew Sasuke wants their daughter to carry the Uchiha name, the untainted one. No way in hell would Naruto throw all his effort down the drain.

It was just, today was somewhat special so he held onto some stupid fantasy of meeting with his lover after such long time. Now that he think about it, didn't the last he saw the Uchiha was almost 3 months back when they did it in the forest. Hmm. That was one hot night that even today send shivers down his spine. Those beautiful moments under the blue night sky have been his only solace in these lonely times.

Ah, but how did they came to that? It was, it seems, their mate bond working again. Or was it him being his insecure, needy self. All he know is that there was a tugging feeling inside, making him want to go and look for the Uchiha. And the moment his eyes laid on the other, all hell break lose for him.

And Sasuke let him lose. The raven welcomed his every touch, his every whisper, his every breath on his skin. It felt surreal to him that someone as pure, untainted as Sasuke could actually become a part of his world. That is right. In his eyes, Sasuke is the ethereal beauty while he is the taint on it. Unlike what others believe, he was never the sun of Sasuke's world but Sasuke was the pure drop of blood in his black poisoned heart. He is his light. Without Sasuke, there would never be a Naruto.

Naruto chuckled at his thoughts and got up. It's time to call it a day. Hopefully, tomorrow he will hear from the bastard.

Just when his feet moved back inside, Naruto felt a strong chakra pull coming from his stomach. That....that was Hirashin. His expression changed, and in a flash, the blonde reached a place unknown to him.

It was a valley, somewhere near the Takigakure border, Naruto assumed. Looking around, he found the source of the tug, his three prolonged Kunai, and something else. Kurama's chakra. A bad premonition formed inside his stomach and sure enough, the more he neared the chakra source, the stronger the smell of blood entered his nostrils.

The blonde walked forward and within next few steps, his movements halted. A figure lay behind one big boulder. The man was shrouded in red glow from head to toe and Naruto knew who it was.

Sasuke.

His legs worked faster than his mind and he found himself holding the bleeding Uchiha in his arms. He knew the red glow was of Kurama's. The fox chakra was healing his lover but that was not enough. He has to bring him for medical aid. The man was bleeding profusely. Just when Naruto picked the injured ninja up in his arms, a hand stopped his every move. His blue eyes focussed on dark dull ones. A strong pain reverberated inside his every cell but he quickly controlled the sudden burst of emotions before speaking,
