From Present to Future

Chapter 10

A slightly older Tenten, probably 18 yr old, was walking down the konoha markets. She was wearing white sleeveless, full length qipao with pink flower embroidery and magenta obi. She wore high heel boots and a red lipstick, making her look completely stunning. Konoha truly got many beauties in the future.

She soon entered a book shop and greeted the owner before heading to the back. Opening the flaps to the back room, she came in view with what you can say is a reading room. There were chairs and tables stacked at random places. A scented candle working its way to create a calm and soothing atmosphere, despite the disorder in room. In one of the chair sat one Hyuga prodigy. Uh huh. Its Neji Hyuga. Immersed in the world of books.

Tenten approached him before clearing her throat to get the said Hyugas attention.

Neji hearing someone near him looked up only to get stunned. The girl before him looks nothing like the one he grew up with. His teammate, albeit beautiful, was a total tomboy before. With no interest in girly stuff. But man the girl in front of him. He is gonna have quite some number of love rivals. Like there weren't any before. Pffft.

Tenten looked amazing. Everything about her seems to charm the Hyuga prodigy into speechlessness. So she cleared her throat again to get her boyfriends attention. Yes boyfriend.

"You know we have been dating for few months now but this is the first time you looked at me like this. Why? Did I not look beautiful before or what?" Tenten asked pouting, somewhat irritated at her boyfriend's actions. That hurt. So if she doesn't always dress up, will he not even look at her. Ever.

Neji, knowing his actions have hurt his love, got up from his seat and hugged Tenten tightly. He bend down a bit to come to her level, before speaking near her ear, sending shivers down her spine. Well her boyfriend is really handsome. She can't help it.

"No. I would rather prefer the tomboy you than this one. You have no idea what you do to people. What you do to me. And even with those tomboyish looks I had so many love rivals. Imagine how many would I have now." And that was the truth. Just like Neji had fangirls, Tenten had fanboys too. Weird right. But there is no harm in having options.

Tenten giggled. She really love this stoic Hyuga. They have been through a lot together in the past. And before they realised, they were already in love with each other. Now she would be damned if she ever let him go. It was pretty hard to catch this fish up after all.

" You know I got ready only for you. I mean its your birthday so I just thought what kind of gift my perfect boyfriend would want. Then I thought what's a better gift than myself. So here I am." Tenten said teasingly, her words turning into a whisper by the end. She really enjoys seeing the blush on her boyfriends face.

"So"

"So" Gulped a suddenly very nervous Neji.

Releasing herself from the hug, Tenten pushed her boyfriend back, making him fall back on his seat. That gave Tenten ample opportunities.

Tenten leaned forward, placing both her hands on either side of the chair, trapping one nervous Hyuga there. She, then, whispered in his ears, just like he did to her.

"So, would you like to unwrap your gift now " Grey eyes met pupilless ones. Both had love and a bit of lust in them.

Not the one to stay behind, Neji pulled the weapon mistress on his lap and said just as charmingly, " I would love to. " And he captured his lover's lips. He cannot say from where he got the courage but he ain't one to back down from a challenge.
