*Cassian POV*

Cassian couldn't believe what the girl had just said, and by the looks of it Azriel couldn't believe it either. She couldn't possibly win. The girl was human, a human fighting against an Illyrian man that had been training for centuries was bound to lose. But the girl followed them to the fighting ring and she did position herself into a perfect fighting stance, maybe it was just beginners luck but he didn't think it was. Rhysand declared the fight and they started. And the girl, he had never seen someone fight like that before, with such deadly precision. The girl got the first punch in and Azriel's half brother was almost knocked to the ground. It was pretty funny to watch actually, she didn't have any problems beating him and she didn't seem to be older than 18. Cassian wondered who had trained her, because that bastard must have been a really good trainer.

He looked over at Azriel, and Azriel was looking at the girl with raw emotion. "What is it Az?" Cassian asked him. "She's amazing. She's a human girl and she's able to beat my half-brother. It certainly serves him right. Oh well, he was never a good fighter anyway. And for some reason I feel this connection with her as if something is pulling me towards her. And I don't know why." "A connection? Are you sure?" Rhysand chimed in. "Yes, i'm completely sure." "You do realise that it might be a mating bond, and then your mate will be a human." "Yes I know."

*Celaena POV*

She had beaten him to a pulp already, and all she needed to do was to get him into a choke hold before she could order him to yield. She saw that she could swipe her foot under him so she did and he tripped. And she put him in a choke hold, it had been way to easy he had to be so much older than her and he had to have been training for so much longer than she had. "Yield." she ordered. "No" "Either you yield or I kill you." "Fine. I yield." She had won, she already knew she would win but it felt good to see the surprised looks on the sexist Illyrian bastards faces.

"It seems like the girl won the fight, so I guess you'll just have to let them go. But you'll still have to give away you're leadership. And you're going to give it to the girl whose wings you were just about to clip." "What! NO! I will not give my power away to a female!" "Yes, you will. It's either that or death." Celaena had decided that she liked this guy, because he wasn't sexist, at least not based on what she had heard from him, but then again you never really know until you've known a person for a while, unless they had already established themselves as being sexist, which this man hadn't and which most of the Illyrian men in this camp had. And it didn't seem like the Illyrian men he was with were sexist either. "And you, you will come with us." he said to Celaena. She walked over to him and the woman he was with took her hand, and they suddenly transported to another place. A place so beautiful it might even compare to Terrassens beauty.
