Celaena POV

Celaena was wandering the halls of the castle. Her and Azriel had danced a few dances together before they got tired and Celaena had needed some fresh air, and she had gotten that fresh air but she didn't want to go to the ballroom yet. She walked and walked and eventually she found a door, a big and elegant looking door. She opened it, and inside she found what she thought was the prettiest library she had seen in her whole life. The books were arranged perfectly and all the books seemed to be in perfect shape. She wondered if there was something here that could tell her how to open a portal.

After a while of looking she had found a few books that she could go through, they were about magic that was different from the type of magic the fae had. The first book told her absolutely nothing, it seemed to just be a lot of rubbish. The second book was in a language she didn't know but the third book was rather interesting. It was a book on wyrdmarks. She went through some of the pages and she understood a lot of the wyrdmarks because of her training with Nehemia. She came upon a page with wyrdmarks and on the side of the page there was written some words that she recognised, it was the wyrdmarks you would need to make a portal. She didn't know how she was supposed to take the book with her to the night court but she would find a way. She always found a way.

Rhysand POV

The party had finished and they were now looking for Celaena. She had disappeared after going out to get some air. They looked almost everywhere but they couldn't seem to find her. Kallias had told him that she might have wandered off to the library which is where he was heading for. The others were outside looking for her. He opened the doors to the library and he could tell that she was in fact in the library because of her scent still hanging in the air. He found her and she was standing with her back against him. "The party is over, we have to go now." he told her and she turned around and nodded her head slightly. "Alright." He extended his hand to her and she took it and they winnowed to the hallway outside of her room. "Goodbye." she told him before she turned and went inside her room.

Celaena POV

She didn't know how she had done it but she had been able to hide the book underneath her dress and somehow no one noticed. She picked the book up and hid it in her underwear drawer. She took of her dress and went to sleep. It was too late for her to read and she was also too tired. Tomorrow she would try opening a portal.
