“I can’t believe that we are going to New York,” Blaine exclaims. Sebastian can’t help but roll his eyes at his boyfriend’s childlike excitement. “I have been dreaming about going there for as long as I can remember, and today it’s finally going to happen. We’re going to go Broadway and visit universities, to see where we’re going next year.” Blaine tugs at Sebastian’s arm. “This trip is going to be perfect.”
“Common, Blaine, it’s New York not Paradise Island,” Sebastian chuckles. “It’s really not that great.”
“Why do you always have to ruin everything.” Blaine jokingly rolls his eyes. They are waiting in line to board their plane.
“I don’t.” Sebastian leans down to press a kiss on Blaine’s hairline. “I just don’t want you to get your hopes up and then get disappointed about this ‘perfect’ trip.”
“It will be perfect, because I’m with you.” Blaine smiles at his boyfriend as he rests his head on his shoulder. Sebastian’s fingers slide up and down Blaine’s spine lightly.
“Gosh you’re so cheesy,” Sebastian mumbles with his lips against Blaine’s forehead. “Are you tired, B?”
“A little,” Blaine whispers. He looks up and a tiny smile appears on his face. It’s two a.m. and both boys have been up for hours already.
“You’ll be able to sleep once we’ve boarded in the plane.” Sebastian’s hand that’s not caressing his boyfriend’s back, scratches Blaine’s scalp gently before he wipes a few strands of wild, loose curls from his forehead.
-
“The plane from Westerville to New York City is about to take off in a few moments,” the pilot speaks through the speakers. One of the flight attendants has just told about the escape routes. Once the plane has taken off, Blaine’s head falls on Sebastian’s shoulder.
“Thank you, Seb,” he mumbles sleepy. “For taking me on this trip. I love you.” A weary smile on Blaine’s face as his eyelids get heavier.
“I love you too,” Sebastian mutters before he closes his eyes as well.
-
“Wake up, sweetie,” Sebastian whispers gently. The plane is about to land and he doesn’t want his boyfriend to get brutally woken up by the landing. “We’re almost in New York.” Blaine lifts his head up sleepily and a little confused, before he realises where he is and a dopey grin appears on his face. He looks through his thick, dark eyelashes at Sebastian.
“Have you slept too?” Blaine’s voice cracks a little.
“A little,” Sebastian says, but in reality he hasn’t slept as much as he wanted to. It’s hard to sleep when someone is sleeping on your shoulder. Every time when Sebastian almost fell asleep, Blaine’s curls tickled his chin, which kept him up. Not that Sebastian minded, he is just glad his boyfriend got some – much needed – sleep.
-
“Go back to sleep,” Sebastian says, once they’re at their suite in the hotel. “We’ll unpack in the morning.”
“Okay,” Blaine says with a weary smile. Sebastian opens the red suitcase, takes out Blaine’s pyjama and throws it at him. Blaine quickly changes and slips under the covers of the massive king-size bed.
“I’ll be there in a second,” Sebastian assures Blaine. He takes his time to brush his teeth before he changes into a pair of his old lacrosse shorts and an old Dalton hoodie. Blaine sighs happily when he feels Sebastian’s arm slid protectively around his waist. “It’s half past five. I’ll wake you up in the morning to get breakfast, okay?” Blaine mumbles something approving. “Then we’ll visit some universities and at night we’ll go to Broadway.” Sebastian feels how Blaine’s breath fans out against his neck, as a sign that he fell asleep.
