A Game of Cat and Mouse

"Time to see what the Survey Corps has in store for us." Stated Armin hearing the bell signaling the end of lunch.

The group nodded as they got rid of their trays and headed out to the grounds. They noticed Commander Smith, Commander Shadis, Levi and Gemini standing near the small raised platform. Quickly they fell into rows before Shadis said anything about it.

We were discussing what was to go on for the afternoon with Shadis. I heard footsteps approaching and caught out of the corner of my eye the cadets falling into rows like this morning.

"Well it appears the cadets are ready to hear us so let's get started shall we." I remarked motioning towards the group.

Commander Shadis and Commander Smith went first before me and Levi followed them on platform. My eyes scanned the cadets remembering faces for what was about to come in the next half hour.

"Alright maggots from here on out you are under the orders of Commander Smith and the other two members of the Survey Corps. Do I make myself clear?" Shouted Shadis glancing over the group.

"Yes Commander Shadis, sir." Chorused the cadets saluting Shadis before he left the platform.

"Before we go any further I believe proper introductions are needed. As you already know I am Commander Erwin Smith of the Survey Corps." Introduced my father before nodding to Levi.

"Captain Levi and don't expect me to be sincere and give a shit cadets." Sneered Levi before motioning towards me.

I felt the cadets eyes on me as I took a deep breath. This was the moment of truth and the boys learned who I really was.

"Gemini Smith member of the Survey Corps and assigned medic when the need presents itself." I informed with my face falling neutral.

"Now that you know a little bit about the three of us it's no more nice guy. Today we doing a game of sorts." Remarked Erwin before he glanced over at me and nodded.

I saluted before shrugging off my jacket as I walked off. Once I was out of the cadets view, I made quick work of getting my odm gear on. During this time I heard my father explaining how the game works.

Once I got the last strap into place, I debated on putting my jacket back on. I shook my head before tossing it to one of the aids and started towards the woods. It was time to show these cadets what four years in the field can do for someone.

Meanwhile....

"So the objective is simple find and stun both Levi and Gemini before they find you. Cause outside these walls it's hunt or be hunted." Finished Erwin scanning the cadets before glancing over to Levi.

Levi nodded and headed off knowing he only had about two minutes before the cadets were sent after him. Once he got to his gear it was only a matter of seconds before it was on. He glanced over at Erwin before nodding and taking off towards woods.Taking a deep breath Erwin waited a few seconds before turning to the cadets.

"Now is the time to show us what your training has taught you so gear up and hunt."

With that the cadets broke up and headed for their odm gear. Within a matter of a minute several cadets were heading to the woods to start tracing the experienced members inside.

"Can you guys believe that Gemini is Commander Erwin Smith's daughter?" Stated Eren adjusting his gear.

"Who says that she's his daughter? She might be his niece." Informed Bertolt tightening his straps.

"I say she's his daughter. Reason for that is if you look past the blonde hair she has a similar facial shape as his." Stated Armin checking over everything.
