After that conversation, we headed in and got our meals and sat down together at a table. We were discussing random topics and stories got told while we ate.

"Gemini if you don't mind me asking but how are you connected to Commander Smith." Inquired Krista out of the blue.

"I figured one of the boys would of asked that by now but I don't mind the question. Commander Erwin Smith is my father." I informed everyone at the table.

"Mind if we ask some more questions because we are probably dying to know more." Inquired Ymir pointing her fork at me.

"Go ahead and shoot. If I don't want to answer I'll wave the question off. Does that sound good to you guys?" I informed before taking a bite.

Everyone at the table nodded their heads in agreement. They all were interested in learning more about the Survey Corps and probably me as well. I glanced around the table and noticed Eren looking at me so I pointed at him to start.

"How long have you been with the Survey Corps?" Eren brought up noticing that I pointed him out.

"Four years as an active member but I have been living with the Survey Corps for almost ten years." I informed motioning for the next question.

"Why have you been with the Survey Corps for so long?" Inquired Ymir waving her fork a bit.

"My mother passed away almost ten years ago and I was going between my parents since they weren't married or lived together." I stated looking down at my plate.

Reiner noticed the shift in my stare since he was right across from me. I felt a gentle tap on the side of my left boot. Glancing up I noticed Reiner giving me a gentle smile which made me smile in return.

"Ok! How about we stay away from my personal life for awhile?" I glanced around the table.

"This sounds like a weird question but do you have any scars?" Inquired Armin glancing at me.

"I actually do have one scar from an expedition which if any of you join the Survey Corps will see when I get a training session with you." I pointed out. "Otherwise little scar marks are from training accidents or I wasn't careful with a blade."

"Worst injury you got while on an expedition?" Mikasa stated as she was finishing up her meal.

"I don't want to spoil anything for what my training session will be about when and if you join the Survey Corps. It has to deal with one of my arms though." I placed my fork down on my plate.

Several people at the table groaned wanting to know. I shook my head and locked my mouth and threw away the key. Those who didn't groaned laughed knowing I wasn't about to give up the answer easily.

"How are the training sessions with the Survey Corps?" Inquired Bertolt finishing up as well.

"It depends on who is in charge of training for the day and their mood but the sessions are not to bad. Then again I grew up with the sessions so I'm probably not the best judge on that." I informed.

I noticed everyone was finished eating and I was about to get up and offer to take their plates but my plate was gone before I could. Glancing up I noticed Armin had taken my plate and nodded towards the others meaning he didn't mind missing questions. I thanked him and looked back at everyone else.

"How do expeditions run?" Asked Reiner finally chipping in on the conversation.

"They all run a little different but my dad or in your guys case Commander Smith usually informs everyone a day or two before it." I informed noticing that the mess hall was slowly emptying.

Everyone noticed as well and began getting up. In a few minutes we were heading out the door into the night air. We neared the center of the barracks and chatted for a few additional minutes. It wasn't long before a bell was rang signaling it was time to turn in.

"Well I better go find out where I am crashing for the night. Also it was nice meeting all of you and sorry if anyone was worried about me earlier today. I rubbed the back of my neck.

"Don't worry about it. Besides as long as you are okay. Good night!" Krista informed before Ymir, Mikasa and her left.

The boys said a quick good bye before heading to their barrack. I turned to find one of the subcommanders to get directions. Before I got to far I felt warmth spread around my wrist. I glanced back and noticed Reiner standing there.

"What's wrong Reiner?" I turned back towards him.

"I'm sorry I coul-" Reiner started but I waved him off.

"Don't apologise for not getting to me. Besides I can't control when one of my PTSD moments are going to hit me while in the field. I deal with it and hope I can at least fight until someone comes." I stated looking him dead in the eyes.

Reiner gave me a sad smile before wrapping his arms around me. It took me a second but soon I was wrapping my arms around him. I enjoyed the few seconds of warmth and silent comfort before hearing someone clear their throats.

Parting from one another, we noticed Hange standing there. I smiled glad it wasn't Levi or my father finding us like that.

"Do I want to know what's going on here?" Hange wiggled her eyebrows going between us.

"Say a word to the two overprotective asses I call family whether it's blood related or not I'm personally giving you bruises." I laughed as she put her hands up.

"I just came to fetch you and stumbled upon a cute moment."

I rolled my eyes before bidding Reiner good night. Reiner headed off while I followed Hange towards a barrack further from the cadets. A few silent moments passed before I sighed and motioned for Hange to start.

"So possible boyfriend back there!" Inquired Hange pretty much bouncing with excitement.

"Hange his name is Reiner and he is just a really good friend that I feel can be there for me." I stated.

"I'm not going to say anything to your father or Levi but if you two start dating even if he goes into a different branch," Hange sighed, "I support it. You need someone that can stand by your side through thick and thin Gemini."

My vision started blurring before I just wrapped my arms around Hange.

"This is exactly why I prefer you over Levi or my father when it comes down to certain personal and emotional issues. You're the one female support that I can rely on even if someone calls you crazy." I sobbed.

She just smiled, holding me closer knowing it was a comfort. After a few choked up moments we separated and continue on our way to our barrack. Thankfully neither my father or Levi asked what went on while coming back.
