Rui x reader one shots

Rui x Upper moon! Reader pt.1

(Smidge of angst) Fluff + gender neutral reader, we're also around his age 

VERY short, this was something I worked on before I went on an unannounced hiatus, and it'll be evident in how this is formatted and written and just how short it is, BUT I'll make a part 2 for this one. It'll be longer and detailed like the latest ones I'm making. Plus, I'm not too sure on how to end this so can someone help me out? Maybe leave a suggestion or two to help me. (825 words)

"Say, Rui, does my presence bother you?" (Y/N) had asked Rui as they say on the top of Rui's home on the roof, gazing at the moon. "It's so boring to not be able to hang out with someone around my age, you know?" (Y/N) ended up rambling on. Any other person, this sort of thing would have annoyed Rui as someone would keep talking on and on but for some reason with (Y/N) he never lashed out at them, not like he could considering the major power difference between them, but even with that he wouldn't even if they were a measly human. There was something about them he couldn't put his fingers on, how they would talk to him so carelessly, even though they had nothing to worry about in his presence, how they simply would talk to him.

It was refreshing and annoying at the same time. They talk, not letting him say anything but it wasn't like he was gonna say anything to begin with. It's like he was trying to find a reason to have something to dislike about them but there wasn't none. If you counted their annoying personality then yes, but, to him, it just added onto their unique character. To him at least.

They'd throw a fanged grin at him whenever they see him, adding in a little wave but he'd never return it. They'd hold his hand but he'd never hold their hand back. They'll hug him he wouldn't return it maybe even push them off him and they wouldn't say anything about it, just get up and leave as though nothing just happened.

But no matter what he did they always came back, grinning even more. It was infuriating and pleasing at the same time to him.
"Oi, Rui, do you want me to leave?"
At this Rui turned to face them, they were still smiling but he could tell they were a bit wounded. Their smile wasn't as bright, they seemed upset even. When he didn't reply, they had gotten up from their seat, casting one more glance at him. "Sorry if I bothered you. It wasn't my intent. See ya." With that (Y/N) had disappeared, leaving Rui sitting there, a unsettling feeling pooling in his stomach.

After that night (Y/N) had stop smiling, waving, hugging, and holding his hand. Even stopped greeting him. Whenever they'd encounter each other at a meeting (Y/N) wouldn't look his way, if they made eye contact (Y/N) would quickly look away. If, by chance they encountered each other (Y/N) would walk the other way, not sparing him a glance.

Rui wasn't all too upset with it at first but he started noticing how much he actually missed them. How the silence would constantly ring in his ear, how his hand was always cold, even if it always was, but it'd have a bit of warmth from (Y/N) always holding his hand, how he longed for them to hold him like they did before, albeit they did it like twice.

Rui missed them. He missed them more than he realized and was regretting treating them like that. Now that he thought about it, they didn't really do anything or rather, much to warrant that kind of attitude from him, except the physical touching like hand holding and definitely hugging, he never gave them permission for that, but it wasn't like they were touching him inappropriately.

So, Rui was here now, sitting atop his roof, looking down at his family as they did what they do. He didn't really care. Rui's mind now a days would wander back to (Y/N). He almost felt bad for how he treated them. He simply just wanted to be in their presence again, as sappy as that sounds. 

Yeah...this one was short, by a lot. It's not as long as the latest ones I released. This was one of the ones I worked on before my unannounced absence, as evidence by how it looks. 

I'm just going to post it and continue it in a part 2, because I can and I'm not too sure on how I want this to end. Sorry variangst and V0Lc1ty but I'll make a longer and more detailed part for this one, one that will go with the new style I'm trying out.
