Just friends?

Part 8

*next day*
All of you were now leaving for trekking. You made two teams and whosoever reaches the top first, will win.
You and Jimin were in one team and Soojin and Mingi were in one.

"Okay! Let's start! 1 2 3 go!" You say and both the teams separated.

"Yah Jimin, we have to win this!" You say as both of you tightly hold hands and walk as fast as you could.
Both of you walked for a while but you got tired.

"Aish, you were so enthusiastic to win and now-" he said and picks you up in piggy back style.

"You said we have to win so we WILL win" he said and started walking. You smile and hug him tightly in order to not fall down.

On the other hand, Mingi and Soojin were doing pretty good.
"We have to win! We have to win! We have to win!" Soojin shouts.

I wonder what Jimin and Y/n are doing...
Mingi thought.

Suddenly it started raining.
"What? Its raining! Gosh!" You say but Jimin keeps going.

"Jimin....its ok. Put me down" You say and get down from his back.
"You must be tired..and its raining so you might slip. Lets just sit" you say as both of you sit under a small tree.

You take a big hanky from your pocket to wipe your hair as they were really wet. You were shivering so he took the hanky from you and said, "ill do it"

He wiped your hair and started playing with them. He messed your hair even more.
"Yah what are you doing ? You want to die?" you say slightly hitting him.

"Okay okay i'll fix them" he said and started fixing your hair and puts them behind your ears.
You suddenly see that now he was staring at you and both of you just awkwardly stare at each other.

"Ahh take your hanky!" he said and looked away. He noticed your wet clothes so he takes off his hoodie and gives it to you to wear.
After the rain stopped you started walking again but when you reach , Mingi and Soojin had already reached.

"We won~" Soojin said, getting really happy while Mingi was staring at you and Jimin.
He noticed you were wearing Jimin's hoodie.
After a while, all of you go back to your tents.

You all were sitting near the river which was near your tent area.
All of a sudden Jimin came and pushed you in the river.
"Yah!!! Jimin!!!" You shout and try to get out from there but before you could, Soojin pushed Mingi into the river as well.

"What the-" Mingi said.

Jimin glared at Soojin because now both you and Mingi were together in the river.
You were not able to swim well so Mingi helped you and both of you got out of the river.

Your clothes were all wet and your bra could be seen so Mingi took a towel and covered you with it.
"Th-thank you.." You say not being able to make eye contact with him.

Jimin got pissed so he snatched away the towel and covered you with his jacket instead.
"What are you doing?? Its all your fault anyways!!" you scold him.

"sorry..." Jimin said as he took another towel and started drying your hair. While drying your hair, his face was really close to you.

Mingi got up and just went inside his tent.

*at 1am*
You and Soojin were sleeping in your tent while Jimin and Mingi were still awake.
Mingi was using his phone when he noticed Jimin glaring at him.
"what's wrong? Your eyeballs will come out" Mingi said and Jimin got annoyed.

Suddenly he gets up and goes near Mingi.
"Yah, be honest and tell me what are you trying to do?" Jimin said.

"What are you talking about?" Mingi asked.

"Do you...like y/n?" Jimin asked and Mingi suddenly went quiet.

"Because i do. I like y/n" he adds and Mingi goes a bit shocked. He went completely quiet and just looked at his phone.

"That's good then" he said.

"What about you? you like y/n too right?" Jimin asked.

"What are you trying to say? Go sleep" Mingi said and pushed him away.
Jimin just quietly went to his bed but couldn't sleep.

Suddenly Mingi gets up and says,
"Btw, how did you and y/n become friends?"

"It was back in middle school..."

*flashback*

"Gosh, i am really not in a mood to fight." Jimin said.
In front of him were three bullies who were mad at him for exposing them to the principal.
Before Jimin could do anything, one of them punched him hard on the stomach.
They started beating him. He couldn't do anything as he was alone and they were three.

You were going back home as classes were when you hear some noise from a classroom. You take a quick look and see a guy getting beaten up by the three bullies.

gosh, i should do something!
You thought and started to think something.

"Stop!" You say and enter. All of them look at you.

"I have recorded everything! And i am gonna show the video to the principal!" You say although you were scared too.

"Gosh you asshole-" one of them said and all of them quickly left from there.

"Ar-are you okay?" You ask as you help him to get up.

*back to present*

"So yeah, we have been friends since then" Jimin said.

"btw you didn't answer my question. Do you like y/n?" Jimin asked and curiously waited for his answer.

"Yes"
