Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital - Shift two
"So. Heard you got the first internship surgery. How was it?" Olivia asked.
"We got the baby out but we lost the mother." Tatum shook her head.
"Aren't you happy that you got the first surgery? That's such a big thing! I would give my heart and soul to do it!" Parker exclaimed.
"I am! It's just depressing that we're meant to save lives yet I was only able to save one." Tatum sighed.
"But that's still better than nothing!" Luca chirped in.
"Yes. Yes, I know."
*Everyone's pager beeps*
Everything will now be written in POVs because this is becoming more of a play than a story if I keep using dialogues.

"How was the first shift?" My interns looked worn out. Dark eyebags, coffee cups in hand, kind of reminded me of myself as an intern. Full of fire.
"Great! It was the most magical experience ever." Olivia piped in. I'm not sure wether they're just saying that to please me as their boss or it was really that good.
"Even better than Disneyland?" I joked.
"Yes, even better." Olivia laughed.
"Alright then. Let's get started." It was already two in the afternoon. "Luca, you'll be the lucky one in the clinic today. Reagan, pit. Tatum, you're on Dr Montgomery's service today. She's back for a little while. Parker, you're with Dr Karev. That'll keep you busy for the day. And Olivia, you're with me!"
The interns scattered. Clearly, some weren't too happy with being stuck in the pit and clinic all day but there's something to do everywhere.
"Hi, Dr Grey." Olivia greeted.
"Hey, you'll follow me for the day. Where did you graduate?" I asked. Coming to realise that I knew nothing about my interns, but at least I knew their names, that's better than giving them numbers.
"Yale."
"That's amazing. What got you started into med?"
"I was just interested. My bonus mother said my biological mother had something to do with surgery so maybe I'd have some talent here. So I took a shot."
"Oh. Any special talents that you have?"
"Photographic memory. But before you say anything, photographic memory only gets you this far."
"Wait. What did you say?"
"Oh, I said I had photographic memory. It only gets you so far though."
"My sister, Lexie Grey, had photographic memory."
"Dr Lexie Grey? As in the one the hospital is named after?"
"Yes."
"That's crazy! I've never met anyone with it."
"She's dead. You still haven't met anyone with it."
"Oh. I'm sorry."
