The day was as normal as days go. Blaine had come home from work, tired as usual, but still excited to see his family. Kurt was on the couch with their daughter, Blair, and the conversation seemed intense.

"What are you guys talking about?" The gelled boy asked.

He soon wished he hadn't.

"College." Blair had said.

She said something else as well, but Blaine couldn't hear. He immediately started thinking about his next job. He was already working overtime, and he wasn't sure how he'd hid it from Kurt for so long.

"Blaine?"

"I... I'm going to work... on my computer."

"Wait, already? You just got back. Why don't you take a break?" Kurt reasoned, but Blaine was already up the stairs.

He immediately started searching for jobs. Something that would give him better pay in a good amount of time so he could pay for his daughter to go to college.

He cursed himself, hating that he'd let her turn 18 without saving any money. Then again, if he had saved money, he probably would've forgotten something else.

He fell asleep on his computer that night, on a website called freemoney.com. It was clear that he was running out of options, and Kurt couldn't help but worry when he found him.

**********

The next day, Blaine was going to one of the many interviews he'd scheduled. He had to get one of these jobs, didn't he? He tried his best to answer the questions, but every time they asked him what he wanted out of the job he couldn't say anything but his family.

Why was that so bad?! He was sure that was why he was t getting the jobs. Did people think he was too desperate? He didn't understand.

As soon as he was home, he found himself reaching for the alcohol. He didn't care anymore. Any sort of release that would take him away even for just a second would make him happy. He was convinced of that.

A few hours passed, and he was lucky to be alive. He wasn't sure he could get anymore drunk. He was panicking all over again, worried that Kurt would find him like that, barely able to stand.

Kurt had told him he'd be gone for most of that day with Blair. They were shopping for her dorm room. As soon as he thought about that, he felt like he'd faint.

Blaine still didn't have a plan. He still had no way to earn the money. He wanted to run away. Most of all, he wanted to give up. Just give up and cry. What elder could he do at that point.

He had his head in his arms at the kitchen table when Kurt arrived. They'd gotten home and Blair ran straight to her room. She didn't notice Blaine looking completely stressed.

"You won't believe what we found! She wanted like, everything!" Kurt laughed.

Blaine still hasn't picked his head up. So Kurt walked over to him, putting a hand on his shoulder. When he noticed it was trembling, he sat with Blaine and tried to figure out what was going on.

"Blaine?"

No answer.

"Are you okay?"

Blaine didn't want to tell him. He could handle it. He was strong. All he had to do was say he was fine, and Kurt would go away. He definitely wasn't thinking.

"I-I'm fine."

The way his voice broke instantly told Kurt otherwise.

"No you aren't." Kurt said, his voice lowering a little. "What happened?"

Blaine didn't want to show Kurt his tears, so he kept his head down. He wouldn't respond, and it broke Kurt a little.

"Blaine, please... talk to me."

The taller boy could see the bottle of vodka, which scared him a little. Blaine didn't usually drink. That was all it took for Blaine to begin sobbing. He couldn't stop it anymore if he tried. Kurt hugged him then, trying to get him to calm down.

"I'm sorry! I-I was trying to find a job but I couldn't because the interviews were always trash! And then I was already working overtime because of the stupid bills!"

"What bills?" Kurt questioned, slightly confused.

"Blair's college! I don't know how the hell I'm gonna afford it! She's got to get into a good school but... I can't pay for it." Blaine cried.

Kurt was going to say something, but Blair beat him to it.

"Dad? What's going on, guys?"

Blaine just stared at her. Kurt looked into his husband's eyes and sighed. Once he'd explained everything to Blair, Blaine felt humiliated. He shouldn't be that worthless, especially not to his daughter. She could almost hear Blaine's negative thoughts.

"I'm sorry... I'm just so freaking sorry. I swear I tried to find a job..."

"Dad, it's fine. We can figure out a way to solve this! We always do, don't we?"

Kurt agreed with her.

"Yeah!" He said, rubbing Blaine's back.

Blair could also see the vodka at that point, and frowned as a result. What she said next seemed to lighten the mood.

"Just don't drink, anymore... That doesn't help you or finding money."

Kurt laughed at that, and they started brainstorming ways to get easy cash.

Holy moly this one was interesting. For some reason, I decided to watch Supernatural before writing this and my thought process the entire time was like "Demons, Dean Winchester... wait wrong dude we're talking about Blaine here."

While I have like two people who actually bother to read these here, mind checking out my first Supernatural one shot? I think I did okay but I'm not sure.
