Ezra and kannan climbed down the latter the the ghost after they got out of hyperspace. The first thing Hera noticed was, of course, the blood that slowly trickled out of thale cut in ezras forehead." You told me you were fine." Hera said accusingly." And everything is fine. This isn't the worst cut I've ever had." Hera ignored him." Zeb, take ezra to get his head cleaned up." Hera said, leading the others towards the cockpit. Both ezras and Zeb's protests were ignored." Let's go rugrat. We need to see if that steering wheel was successful in breaking through that thick skull." Ezra made a growl deep in his throat. Zeb chuckled. The kid was making it to easy." What's wrong? Did I hurt the little boys feeling?" Ezra wasn't going to take this." What's wrong? No one ever told you purples a girls color?" Now it was Zeb's turn to get mad. He had gotten made fun of his entire life because of that and he wasn't going to hear it from this pipsqueak. His cheeks burned as another insult held in his throat. Kannan was a little worried putting those two together." Hera, I'm going to go check on the boys." Hera sighed." Fine, but don't be long." Kannan went down the hallway. He heard voices shouting but he couldn't tell what. Finally he got to where the two were standing, arms raised at each other." Well no wonder your parents didn't appear to show any signs of struggle. I would want to leave you to." Ezra dropped his hands, completely stunned. Kannan was stunned as well, but nothing prepared him for what came next. Ezras eyes closed, then reopened, but a new, darker fire lit them. He shoved his hands forward and Zeb went flying. As Zeb went into the wall, kannan spoke up." Ezra, stop! Fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate, and hate leads to suffering. Fear is the path to the dark side." Kannan could feel ezra surrounded by the dark side. He really didn't want to do this, but as wind began to swirl around ezra, he knew he had no choice. He thrust one hand out and caught ezra mid strike. He pulled the boy over to him and as soon as he placed his other hand on ezras head, ezra hit the ground, out cold. Zeb had managed to get to his feet. He may not have been a jedi, but Zeb felt the sadness coming of kannan in waves." I didn't prepare him." He said mournfully." And you, he said turning to Zeb, you just had to bring his parents up didn't you." The fire in kannans eyes were gone." Im taking him to my room, fill in for me with Hera, and make sure you explain to her why I'm gone." Kannan left, carrying his limp apprentice in his arms and Zeb was the one who was still standing in the hall way, trying to decide how to tell Hera, without dying.
