The ship rocked as Hera tried desperately to keep them airborne." How did they not show up on our scanner?" Sabine asked, eyeing the star destroyer."I don't know but I need the rear guns." Hera said as she tried to out maneuver the three TIEs that had been sent. Kannan pushed the intercom button to try to contact ezra, but all that came out was static." Zeb, we need you to fix the com." Zeb was up and moving now to. " kannan, I need you and Ezra to go in the phantom and take some of the TIEs out while I calculate the jump to hyperspace." She gave a sharp jerk of the wheel and kannan was up and running." Ezra!" Kannan called desperately for his padawan. Ezra came running out of his room, blood running out of a small cut on his lip. Most likely where he had run into a wall when they were hit. He didn't seem to notice." We need to get into the phantom and destroy some of those TIEs so Hera can jump to light speed." Ezra nodded and the two ran to the ladder leading to the small ship that was attached to the Ghost. Once they got into the ship, they detached and were flying straight to the star destroyer. The TIEs, deciding that kannan and Ezra were larger threats, stared to chase after them. Kannan manned the gun and took out the first fighter. That left two. Ezra, for being so young, was an amazing small ship pilot and was able to give kannan the room he needed to make the shot. Now there was only one, or at least that's what they thought." Kannan, we have company." Ezra said as five more TIEs joined the one they were already engaging." I see them. We just have to give Hera enough time to calculate the jump." Ezra was trying to fight his way through the mass of fighters, and taking only two out in the process." Kannan, how are we supposed to know when to come back if the com is down." Kannan sighed." We just have to hope that Zeb will fix it." That didn't exactly fill ezra with confidence." Kannan, we need to take out more of those. Our shields are failing."" I'm trying!" More shots came from the back and a certain screen on the dashboard blinked with red light. Oh no, ezra thought, we can't handle much more of this. That certain screen was his shield, and it wouldn't last two more hits on the engine or otherwise. Ezras worst fear was realized when a siren went off." Ezra what's that?!" Kannan asked." Our shield is down. We need to leave or we are going to die." As if to answer a prayer, Zeb's voice came over the com." Hyperdrive is ready, come back." Ezra didn't answer but sped the phantom toward the ghost as fast as he could. Just before they reconnected, they were shot from the back. The force of the blast shoved the phantom forward and Ezra hit his head on the wheel, creating a cut that started to bleed. He unknowingly pushed the com button just as he yelled in pain." Ezra, what's wrong?" Hera asked." Yes, Hera. I'm fine. We are connected, rest for hyperdrive." With that, Hera soared into hyperspace.
