3rd Person POV10 full minutes waiting outside, standing for Norman, crouching for Eric, beside the exploded wall.
Eric looked towards his left, not a sign of any demon checking at the back. He huffed, maybe the 6th time in 10 minutes. He stood up with his hands in his pocket jeans, slightly re-adjusting his gun strap that clinged onto his M416.
"Have any signs of anyone?" He asked, trying to stay calm.
Norman shook his head, looking back inside to reassure his statement. "None. But from what I can see from here, the metal doors are already wide open. They must be hesitating and scared... There's a very high possibility that they never experience such 'fight-or-flight' stuff which is what made them stay in place... Scared that something bad will happen to them outside..." He mumbled.
Eric let out a rough sigh, bored. "Wanna play rock-paper-scissors to pass the time...?" He asked.
Norman chuckled awkwardly. "Uh- Sure?" He answered.
They both sat across each other as they placed a fist above their palms. "Rock, paper, scissors, shoot." They both said in unison.
Eric showed his fist as Norman showed his hand wide open. Eric sighed as they started again.
"Rock, paper, scissors, shoot." Again, this time Norman won once more. Eric groaned childishly.
"Again!" He exclaimed. "Rock, paper, scissors!" He said it even louder than before.
Eric showed his fist yet again, and Norman did the same as he showed his palm wide open. Again, Norman won again. Eric groaned even louder.
"UNFAIRRR!!!" He yelled out. "I am suppose to be good at this!" He pouted angrily.
"And these are the two 'rescuers' he told me to find..."
Both of their eyes widened in shock. They both stood up to see a boy, not more than 10 years old, squinting his eyes at them. Eric narrowed his eyes a little, his hand on his gun strap.
Norman smiled warmly at the kid, afraid that Eric would scare him away. "Did our friends sent you here? Where are the others?" He asked calmly.
The kid stayed still for awhole, not talking, not moving. He turned around.
"Sorry, didn't meant to interrupt a couple of childish kids playing rock paper scissors during an evacuation," He retorted.
Eric loosened his grip on his gun strap immediately. "HEY! I CAN BE SERIOUS SOMETIMES!!" He shouted.
The kid stopped and turned his head to the side. "Huh? Like I care about that," He rolled his eyes. He walked towards the door, followed by Eric's protests of him being full-time childish.
"Hey..." The kid softly said with the warmest smile he could muster. "It's okay. No one is gonna hurt you, just calmly step outside that wall there for me. Can you do that for me?"
Eric rose a brow, tilting his head to the side. 'Who is the kid talking to..?' He thought. His eyes widened as he saw a group of children huddling in front of the door.
He let out a breath, straightening his figure as he rubbed the back of his neck. He could even see a glance of the child's smile, making him smile to himself.
He shook his head, getting rid of his thoughts. "Let's not waste time!" He turned around to face Norman. He looked at him with determined eyes.
"Norman, let's do this!" He cheekily smiled.
Norman smiled back in return. A little nod following. "Let's do our best," He replied.
----------
"GET BACK HERE!" An armed demon yelled, followed by two others.
Running after Amelia, she panted, breathing in and out from her mouth, trying to catch some breather. She looked back and her eyes widened to see them catching up to her. She held back a grunt as she continued sprinting.
Of course, this was not the part of the so called "plan". Amelia suggested to split up with Leslie, seeing there were a couple of demons whom didn't evacuated yet. Luckily, none found Leslie. Unluckily, some of them found Amelia.
Beginning to feel her legs giving out, she quickly turned to the corner and found a lockpad. She took the identification card and swiped it in a hurry. As soon as the metal doors, she was greeted by more demons.
"GET HER!"
"Fuck," She cursed under her breath as she continued to run. The fact that she lost her katanas mid way wasn't helping her at all.
How, you may have asked. Well, she threw one of the katanas to use as a spear.
She looked back once again to see 7 demons after her. She groaned, turning her head to the front and kept on running.
Fortunately, the place was like a maze. As she turned to the corner, she quickly hid in a corner. She held her breath as she saw the shadows of them passing by the small dead end of a hallway.
After counting down to 7 demons in total, she let in a huge breath. Amelia coughed a little; Never experiencing such high level of tag, especially with demons.
She sat there for awhile, catching her breath and looking up at the slate ceiling. She coughed again, her throat as dry as dust. She weakly stood up, her knees weak.
She looked out to both sides before speed walking to where she threw her katanas. She didn't even noticed her arms getting numb every second because of the adrenaline rushing through her body.
'I need to hurry up..' She thought.

Leo looked at the tablet attached to the walls as he tried to decode the tablet to the security cameras.
"Come on..." He muttered, tapping multiple codes, trying to crack it with the tablet.
After a couple of guesses, he successfully entered the security system. As he got into the security system, he immediately checked the security cameras.
What surprised him the most was seeing a pair of katanas stuck at the wall, cracks at the said wall. He sweatdropped.
"What did her highness did now..." He muttered, a sigh at the end.
