Summary: Henry and Charlotte go to find Jasper and try to find out what was making him so sad.
Jasper had never felt more alone than he currently did. Henry had to be with the most horrible and egotistical person in the world. Jasper couldn't see why Henry liked her so much.
He had walked into his house and didn't acknowledge anyone. Jasper lay on his bed, looking up at the ceiling and trying his best not to cry.
Jasper: Stupid Leanne, why is Henry doing this to me?
It didn't take Charlotte or Henry long to work out where Jasper was, and upon reaching his house, Henry walked through the front door, which was still open.
Henry: Is Jasper here?
No one took notice of Henry, prompting him to walk upstairs to Jasper's room. Charlotte was following close behind. He saw through Jasper's bedroom door, and looked at the sad figure laying on the bed.
Henry: Jasper?
Jasper: I can't talk to you right now Henry.
Charlotte: Will you talk to me?
It was hurting Henry to know that Jasper didn't want to talk to him, but he was hoping that Jasper might just talk to Charlotte.
Jasper: O-okay.
Henry: I'll leave you to it then.
When Henry left, he felt as if he had caused a really big problem, which had never been his intention. He would never do anything to truly hurt Jasper.
Being with Charlotte, Jasper couldn't hold in any emotion, and burst into tears. Charlotte tentatively put her arms around him.
Charlotte: What's going on?
Jasper: I can't stand seeing Henry with Leanne.
Charlotte: Don't worry about it.
Jasper: How can I? They're going to be together forever.
The smile on Charlotte's face grew as she looked forward to telling Jasper what had happened, to get his reaction.
Charlotte: Actually, after you left, Henry decided to break up with her.
Jasper: Henry--- What?!
Charlotte: He dumped her.
Jasper: Why?
Charlotte: Because she was clearly in over her head, and she was disrespecting you.
Jasper: Henry!
Hearing his name being called, Henry returned to the room and saw Jasper look at him. He could just about make out a small smile.
Henry: Yes?
Jasper: You broke up with Leanne?
Henry: Of course, she was just too much.
With the tension going away, Henry walked over and sat next to Jasper, on the opposite side to where Charlotte was.
Jasper: It's my fault then?
Henry: Nope, you've done nothing wrong dude.
Jasper: Would you still be with her if I wasn't so bothered?
Henry: Probably not.
Charlotte was feeling a great sense of relief that they were talking things through, but Henry was still a little confused.
Henry: Is there something you want to tell me Jasper?
Jasper: What do you mean Henry?
Henry: Apart from the way she was with you, is there anything else that was making you sad?
Charlotte: I was wondering about that too.
This put Jasper on the spot, but he couldn't deny his feelings any further, and decided that it would be best to tell the truth.
Jasper: Okay, there is something I need to tell you.
Henry: Go on.
Jasper: Promise me you won't hate me.
Henry: I could never do that.
Jasper: Here goes... I... I think I'm in love with you Henry.
Charlotte: I knew it!
There was an agonising wait as Henry replayed what Jasper had said. He wasn't expecting his friend to say that.
Jasper: Henry?
Henry: Jasper I... I think I...
As he was unable to find the words, Henry instead wrapped an arm around Jasper's shoulder and pulled them close, kissing Jasper on the lips.
It all happened quicker than they could react, but Jasper closed his eyes and enjoyed the moment, a moment that he had been dreaming of.
Jasper: So?
Henry: I love you Jasper, I never realised it before, but I do.
Jasper: I love you too Henry!
Charlotte: Now that's all sorted, can we all be happy now?
They laughed together, with Charlotte pleased that Jasper and Henry had spoken about their feelings. Jasper's heart felt warm, whilst Henry had never felt so in love with anyone before.
