Yoongi POV

I had never experienced anything quite like this before.

People always use the phrase 'everything went in slow motion'. However I never completely understood how that was in fact possible, for the laws of time and space to become insignificant for one singular moment as the speed of everything slows to an almost comical length.

I understand that now.

A strange phenomenon it is, not one I would like to become familiar with.

From Yeosang's collections of technology a small camera was picked out, one that also recorded sound. Once it was attached to the front pocket on Jimin's jacket the camera blended in to its environment well. Becoming essentially, entirely hidden. This is the point of view we observed Jimin's mission from, all crowded around one monitor in the dimly lit basement.

It is also how we had to endure the impending doom. An inaudible sound to Jimin, was a metallic click to us, sending vibrations to the sensitive camera it was indeed very audible.

Immediately Jungkook shook Yeosang's arm violently, not in control of his strength so the poor white haired boy clutched his hand over Jungkook's. "What happened, what was that?!"

"I don't know! Let go and I can try to figure it out." Yeosang spoke with a small cry whilst wrenching his arm free from the vampire's deadly grip.

Reluctantly Jungkook let go, although it was not anger in his eyes, there was only fear; for Jimin.

I felt it too. A tiny creature clawing at my throat; relentlessly unyielding.

From behind Chanyeol I could not see the whole monitor, gently pushing past the giant I gained a better perspective of the dire situation.

My body seized up upon spotting the reflection of two, fully grown men, towering behind the oblivious angel.

Turn around Jimin! Turn around!! I screamed it inside of my head, willing him to spot the dark figures from the windows reflection opposite. To no avail, he still did not budge; glued to the spot commanding a few pathetic sheets of parchment towards his beckoning hands. They are not worth it! Not over your life, turn around Jimin! He remained still.

Jungkook's hands gripped my sleeve as I watched in horror. The angels body froze, realisation finally hitting that he was not alone in that room.

"Taehyung! Yoongi! Do something!" His voice tugged a string in my heart, Jimin was like a—he was a parent to Jungkook. His fear compelled my own to grow larger, expanding. Fuelled by the desperation in the fragile boys voice, the creature clawed deeper against my throat, raking abysmal holes past rotting flesh.

Then it all spiralled out of control. The monitor portrayed Jimin's swaying camera just before he fell, a sickening crunch when the bone hit marble.

Taehyung grabbed Jungkook's trembling fist, "Come on Jimin. Get up." He spoke gravely, not even the ghost of a smile present.

I turned away from the screen, "He is not getting up Taehyung, Jungkook." Desperately attempting to distract myself I began conjuring a plan to save him.

But.

Could it jeopardise this mission; is Jimin's life more important then my races exctinction? No. No it is most definitely not. I returned my gaze to a blank screen and blank faces, thinking how we must not rush into anything. We must be tactful, Jimin is stronger then they think. He will never show that and it is exactly why the angel will survive; through thick and thin.

Baekhyun's voice cut like a knife through the quiet. "Just like that?" No one responded for a time, he looked rather shaken. Actually, traumatised was a more appropriate word.
