Kai POV
In all honesty I was expecting something a little bigger, even just marginally, then what appeared in front of me. The size of Yeosang and San's 'dorm'—I believe that was what they referred to it as—was more alike to a bathroom, let alone the entirety of a house. However it will have to do.
"It's not much but it's home for us." Yeosang sighed, falling into the couch in front, arms outstretched in a yawn. Sehun strode past me. Running a finger a long the top of the nearest counter he grimaced, brushing the fine layer of dust picked up onto his trousers.
"You are right. It really is not much." Yeosang scowled whilst San overlooked his statement entirely.
Once everyone had filed into the cramped space I glanced around. Suho perched on the arm of the couch, Xuimin on the other. Baekhyun and Chanyeol stood shoulder to shoulder against the door. All 16 of us were leaning, standing, perching and essentially squashed into this room. One thought rang true throughout my mind. This is definitely not going to work.
"I am sorry but, is this everything?" Suho lifted an eyebrow in question to Yeosang and San who—responded almost immediately—jumping off the couch with muddled sentences tumbling from their lips.
"Oh sorry no, this is just our living room. There is a kitchen to your left, through the doors." All eyes were on Yeosang now, waiting expectantly for him to continue.
This is going to be a long day.
Eventually he caught on, pointing his finger into his own chest Yeosang widened his eyes and hurried. "Five bedrooms down that corridor and downstairs is the basement, it's where most of the gear the RTWS don't use anymore."
San stood up from the couch, playfulness in his words as he interrupted."Yeh because Yeosang is obsessed with technology, so he hoards all the gear like some sort of—"
"I do not hoard the gear I collect it." Yeosang corrected San, although without looking entirely convinced himself. Yunho proceeded to interrupt further; by this point I was not the only one in the room growing tired of this conversation.
"He's right San." Yunho slumped into the seat San had previously been situated in, smiling as he spoke with a sort of sarcasm. "Hoarding is not the same as collecting." Chen, being the only one finding any interest in this conversation, also questioned Yunho.
"How so?"
"Well, hoarders experience embarrassment about their possessions and feel uncomfortable when others see them. Whilst collectors have a sense of pride about their possessions and experience joy in displaying and talking about them. Yeosang definitely isn't ashamed to gloat over his various versions of the new P1 tracking device or monitor surveillance system."
The room fell into an awkward silence; not because of the previous conversation but due to our exhaustion. I could see it in everyone's eyes, that weary half asleep half awake look coupled with the yawns being shared around the space.
"Where can we sleep?" I motioned towards Yeosang who gestured for us to follow him.
As we made our way down the corridor a chill ran through the air, darkness approaching quietly. "How will we decide who sleeps where?" Jungkook's voice startled me almost and I turned to respond, not before Chen though, who turned towards him violently.
"You're not a child anymore Jungkook, get in a room and lie down. Why does it matter who's next to you?" I grabbed Chen's arm harshly from by my side, shooting a glare in his direction before whispering.
"Chen they are our allies, treat them like you would treat us." He pulled his arm from within my grasp, tugging on the end of the coat sleeve to pull it down.
