Cold steel. Tubbo cried out in pain and sprinted for his life, feeling the cold steel of an arrow fly into his leg as he nearly collapsed. The darkness was closing in, he heard the hiss of a nearby creeper and the deep groans of zombies and knew he had to keep going.

Huff.. huff...

WHOOSH!Another arrow, right through his shoulder. He'd scream out and fall to the floor, skittering back against a tree. As scared as he was he felt different. He'd hit his head against the back of the tree as as he jolted his head back in fear something clanged against the tree. It hurt. His hands flew to his head, horns. Long, rams horns were on his head. He'd scream and look around, wide eyed and afraid. As if it were clockwork, he heard the jangling of skeleton bones nearing and  his vision grew tunneled and cloudy, looming shadows and darkness creeping into the corners of his eyesight. He tugged at the arrow in him but could only force out a quiet, hurt whimper as he looked ahead. In the distance, the vibrant green contrasted with the moonlight, and as the figure moved closer, he saw it more clearly... hoisting an ax above his head...

It was Dream.

GASP!

Tubbo woke up with a start, wheezing heavily. He clutched something close to him, something warm. He couldn't see what it was in the dark but as he lifted his head above the covers he noticed Tommy wrapped around him tightly. The blonde boy seemed out cold, and Tubbo slowly squeezed out of his arms, causing him to stir and wake up. He pressed his feet against the cold wooden floor and stepped towards the entrance.

Was it really just a dream? He nervously thought to himself. It had felt so real, so.. jarring. The ax driving roughly through his body, the wind of the cold forest night. How was it not real? He huffed a deep sigh and walked back out to the dock, looking off it. After swimming, Tommy and Tubbo had quickly made their way back inside and blacked out from exhaustion and anxiety. As much as the beautiful scenery entranced Tubbo, large storm clouds of anxiety and dread continued to loom over his head. He didn't know what he was going to do, or if Tommy would help him.

He'd stretch and turn back towards the base, shielding his eyes from the sun. He'd rub his hands through his hair and... what was that? on his head. He felt it, bumps. Right on his head. He rubbed them again with a puzzled expression and as he did Tommy slowly rose, trudging out of the base with a groggy, disheveled look. He'd weakly smile at Tubbo, and Tubbo would feel warm. At least he wasn't sneering...

"Ey Tubbo, you ready to deliver that letter?" Tommy would ask this with minor hesitation, as if he didn't quite want to go, nor liked the circumstances he was in. However, he quickly grabbed the book and quill and moved towards their skeleton horse. Tubbo would nod and move towards it as well, extra jittery with the wind rustling the bushes and leaves. He couldn't help but feel like he was constantly being watched, eyes burning into the back of his head like lead stakes. He'd watch as Tommy would get onto the horse. He looked tired, paler, and inside Tommy's chest, he felt fear and hopelessness. The blonde would outstretch his hand and grab Tubbo, lifting him into the horse. Tubbo would then wrap his arms around Tommy's waist protectively, sighing as the horse began to gallop in search of a village.

Surprisingly, the farther Tommy drove them away from the base the more at ease Tubbo felt. He'd squeeze his arms around Tommy and Tommy would grunt.

"what's going on, you've been weird all morning." Tommy said in a flat tone, sighing as all that was heard between their talking was the gentle whoosh of wind accompanied by the sound of the flora around them rustling. Warm air and beautiful sights almost perfect for a photograph.. but of course the air hung thick within their lungs, deep tension nearly ripping them apart from the inside.

"I had a bad dream.. and I... don't feel good. I feel like someone's watching us- a-and... something is wrong with my head."

Tubbo would mutter, afraid and somewhat oversharing. He hoped he wasn't annoying Tommy, but Tommy only sighed once more, a little more tired sounding.

"We'll figure it out buddy.. we will. We have to be at a village soon, right?" He'd say, voice breaking a little.

God damnit..

He didn't want to cry again, and didn't think he could as he swallowed his guilt and continued. The biome began to change, hooves against sand causing it to fly up as cactus came into view. A desert... and in the distance? A desert village. Finally. Tommy gasped and sighed in relief, flicking the reigns of the horse for it to speed up towards the village. Tubbo would notice as well and yell out with happiness as he slipped the book out of Tommy's pocket and clutched it in trembling hands. He knew the villagers could get it to Philza, just didn't know when.

The skeleton horse skidded to a rough stop, nearly tossing the boys off the horse as they quickly dismounted, invigorated with a new sense of enthusiastic adrenaline.

They'd quickly prance around the village, looking amongst the villagers for one who could send their letter. They came upon a female villager holding a Llama, outside of a small sandstone building. The wind wasn't as harsh and the sun instead took its place, beaming down on all of them. Tubbo took the book and stuttered to her.

"Uh- h-hello can you uh, mail this to a friend for us? Philza? I'm sure you know where he lives, he's... his dad. We need his help." He'd hand her the book and the villager would nod, tucking it into her bag which had been discretely saddled to her side, mounting her Llama who's saddlebags seemed full of other deliveries from this same village. They seemed to have caught her at the perfect time as she began to trudge off. Tommy ran his hands through his hair and leaned against the building.

"nothin to do but wait now-"

Tubbo nodded and leaned with him.

"do we want to go back?"

"Hell no, we have to wait for Philza to meet us here, I brought gold so we can stay in the Inn, and the base was making me uneasy as shit anyways." Tommy chuckled nervously and Tubbo nodded in response. As the sun continued to beam down on them they quickly made their way to the Inn.

It'd be a while before Philza got the letter, but they were willing to wait.
