'This is your trailer. It should have everything you need'. Mike said opening the door and handing me the key. Mike was one of the runners, with bags of energy and an infectious smile.

'If it doesn't or you have any questions, feel free to ask one of the team, unless it's the middle of the night, in which case, just go ahead and ask your neighbour'. He said half joking although I sensed total sincerity in there too.

'And my neighbour is?'

'Good question. One sec' He said before sprinting over to the adjacent trailer. I turned to acknowledge the space that would be my home for the next month. It was nice, small but cute, and so much more modern than I would have thought.

'So, what do you think?' He said, out of breath inviting himself in and out of the rain.

'Actually, it's really nice. I'm pleasantly surprised'

'Great. I'm sure you'll be comfortable here. All the other actors are, plus we are so far out that its super safe' He said with a smile, like he was really proud of the project and team he was working on/with. He was sweet. I already liked him.

'Thanks Mike' I said genuinely.

'You're welcome, so if that's all, enjoy your weekend and I'll see you on Monday'. He proceeded to walk briskly out the door before, stopping quickly and turning to face me.

'Oh. Its, Tanner by the way'.

'Sorry, what?'

'Tanner Buchanan. He's your neighbour'.

I knew of Tanner; Cute guy, I thought. I'd seen him in so many shows. He was good. It seemed a little strange that we were neighbours though. He had one of the main roles, and we hardly had any scenes together...

'Tanner Buchanan is next door? I would have thought he'd be in amongst the other leads'.

'Yea, most of them are staying close together, but he's a little different. He likes quiet. When's he's not filming, he likes to be off properly you know? Live as normal life as possible, or whatever. Anyway, see you next week' He shouted running through the rain, holding his paperwork on top if his head.

It was a cold night. The rain was coming down so hard, making a lot of noise, but there was something so cosy about that and I was comfortable.

It took me a few hours to rearrange a few things and go to the store to stock up. Once I was finally settled, I became somewhere between elated and excited to get stuck into my new role. It had been years since my last job, which was a film for TV back in London. So much of me had changed in that time, but the only thing that remained the same was my passion for the arts, and desire to perform.

I sat on the floor with a Large G&T in one hand and script in the other. I'd learnt my lines but was reconsidering some of the through text. I was away in thought and deep into the character when I heard banging on the door, which snapped me out of my process. Unsure of whether it was the rain or genuinely someone banging on my door, I froze. If it were someone, who could it be? Why would they knock here? Hardly anyone knew who I was. Surely they'd knock at..

Before I had any further time to dwell, there was another knock. I jumped up to answer the door, whoever it was, was pretty persistent, and I'm not surprised, I wouldn't be hanging around in this rain either.

As I opened the door a set of mixed emotions swept over me. I was instantly greeted with the prettiest green, eyes and wet dirty blonde hair that was stuck to a gorgeous face.

'Oh my goodness.. please come in' I said. The poor, beautiful, bastard was soaked from head to toe. He seemed relieved and didn't hesitate to step inside.

'I'm so sorry about this, I'm..'

'Tanner? Yes, I know, I probably wouldn't have let you in if I didn't' I said joking before continuing,

'Mike mentioned that we were neighbours, is everything alright?'

'I just got back from a break with my family and can't find my keys. I've tried calling everyone I know around here but I'm guessing everyone's asleep' He stopped to gage my response and stumbled as he tried to continue, seemly distracted by something.

'I guess, I, um. I'm so sorry to do this when you don't know me, I literally have nowhere to go'

It was either this truly out of the blue unorthodox proposal or his drop dead, gorgeous face. Either had me speechless and frozen to the core. What a bizarre situation. To say I was shocked was a total understatement. Not unnoticed by Tanner as he said:

'You know what, don't worry. We just met and you seem totally weirded out. I'll just get a cab somewhere'

'Sorry Tanner. I don't know what's wrong with me. Must be Jetlag' I lied 'I only flew in from London a few hours ago' lied again. 'Of course. Stay here tonight. I'm Grace, by the way'.

I paid the cabby and ran as fast as I could to my trailer, which despite being quite close, was far enough for me to get very cold and wet in the crazy rain. I reached into my backpack and the usual compartment that I kept my keys. They weren't there and to my dismay, after a crazy, need to get in and out of the rain rushed look, did not want to be found. At all. Finally giving in to defeat and letting myself get soaked, I stopped, emptied my bag and checked everywhere, twice. I definitely didn't have them. I thought back over the past couple of days and concluded that I must left them at home. I pulled out my phone and tried to call my mom, but It was 2am and I got no answer, nor from any of my friends or co-workers on set. I was literally stuck with no roof over my head in the pouring rain. I couldn't even get in my fucking car, because the key was with the set that I'm pretty sure were in my mom's house, that was miles, and miles away.

I glanced around praying for a solution when I noticed the previously vacant trailer next to me seemed to be occupied. The lights were on, which gave me an instant sense of hope and warmth. Without thinking about what I was doing, I headed straight over there.

I thought once the person, who I read to be Grace, (on the door) opened, I'd explain the situation with composure and ask her if she could accommodate me for a few hours until someone was available to help me in the morning. But as soon as she opened the door, any composer I had drowned in the rain. She was fucking beautiful. Shit.
