*Grace*
That was the first time we met and was three years ago. Nothing particularly ground-breaking. Just two working people, bumping into each other. Except, we totally hit it off. Not particularly in a romantic sense. He was an extremely, sexy, successful actor that I'm sure would never find plain old me appealing or attractive. But it was interesting. I didn't particularly have any desire to sleep with him, well if I was being totally honest, I did. He was beautiful and I'm sure every woman in her right mind would, but the fondness I had for him had nothing to do with sex. It was deep. I felt like I'd found my soulmate. Someone that I needed to be with as much as I could. The feeling was clearly reciprocated, as any chance he got, he was in London doing self-tapes in my house, while he was off from filming his hit Netflix series.
Last Spring, he landed a good role in a British movie and stayed with me through the whole process. Having him around was actually beneficial too, he encouraged me to get back into work, helping with me with my own self-tapes, and luckily, I managed to land a bit of work. But that was it, good friends, best friends, happy in each-others company, nothing romantic, until...

It was a horrible typical rainy morning. I could help groaning as I looked out the window, drinking my cup of tea.
'What a day. Are you sure you don't want to stay and enjoy this lovely weather with me, T?'
He was due on a flight in a couple of hours and packed up the last of his things as he spoke.
'I was thinking. You don't have anything planned at the moment. Why don't you come to Georgia and stay with me for a while? Everyone would be happy to see you again, plus I'm sure if you're around and there are any featured extra roles going, we can push you for those'
What a great idea, I thought. I didn't have anything planned, plus I hated it when he left, my cosy space always felt very big and empty. Plus, it had been ages since I saw the Cobra Kai guys. Even though I spoke to Mary almost every day, I missed her, and seeing her again would be great. But the bonus would be getting to spend more time with Tanner, and that was the real reason why I wanted to go, despite the fact that we'd spent a lot of time together lately.
'Are you sure? Havent you had enough of me?'
'I don't like to think of you being here on your own, Grace. But how about you, have you had enough of me? He asked sincerely. As though he was half expecting me to say yes.
'Course not, T'
'That's settled then, go and pack and I'll book your flight'

Unfortunately, because of the late, late notice, he couldn't book me on the same flight as his. Mine was a whole 24 hours later, which was good, because I used the time to get a fresh set of nails, a pedi and fresh haircut. I saw this trip as a vacation of sorts, and all of these girly rituals are a must for any girl going on vacation. I also bought myself some new clothes, and of course the essentials: PJ's and underwear.
Tanner seemed so nervous about going and leaving me on my own. So much so that he was considering waiting back with me. So sweet, but so odd. He seemed to have suddenly taken on the role of my protector. As soon as he landed, he was checking in via text:
Tanner: I tried to call, but you didn't answer. Is everything okay? x
I told him to chill the fuck out and go and buy some tea bags, to which his response was:
