*Grace*
Halloween came and went, and Christmas was looming. In that time after several rounds of auditions, he got the job. Not that I had any doubt of course. Now that it was in the bag, as promised, we were making plans for me to fly out to him, but with Christmas just around the corner, we decided to wait and spend New Years in New York together. Which was a genius idea by, Tanner. It was a Christmas gift to me, so we could spend quality un interrupted time alone and celebrate his success. I couldn't wait. It had been nearly two months since London. A long time, too long, I just had to get through Christmas, and come December 29th I'd be on my way.

Once I landed at JFK, I was expecting to be greeted by him. To be welcomed with open arms, a kiss or two, and all the romantic bullshit you can imagine, instead I had a bunch of messages from him displaying some colourful language, the most recent reading:
Tanner: This is a fucking joke. I'm sorry.
Which prompted me to go through my message history and see what was going on.
Tanner: Baby, I can't fly out today. I've got some press to do which has been scheduled for the January release of the show. I'm so sorry.
Tanner: I've called the hotel and checked you in. I explained the situation and they said to go straight over there
Tanner: I'll be there as soon as I can
Tanner: Please call me when you get this.
Tanner: I'm so angry. You have no idea how long I've been looking forward to seeing you.
To say I was disappointed was a total understatement. I missed him so much and every single inch of my being was desperate to be in his presence. Facetime was great, id still get to hear his voice, see that smile and those eyes, but it lacked the electricity in the atmosphere that there was whenever he was in the room, and the ability to touch him whenever I pleased. However, this was a work commitment. We agreed that work would be the priority and that anything between us would go on the backburner for a time when we, mainly he, was more able to commit. I liked it that way, I got the man of my dreams, without being the annoying over pressurising girlfriend. Despite my disappointment, there was really only way to deal with our current predicament. I'd call him and let him know that everything was fine. The way I always did. The phone barley rang once before he answered.
'Grace, I am so sorry'
'Please don't be Tanner. It's all good'
'But I hate that you're there alone'
'Well hopefully it won't be for too long. Do you think you'll make it out here at all?
'Yes, early morning New Years Eve. I've just booked up'
'Well, there you go then. It's one day and a few hours. Please don't worry, Tanner. Besides, there are so many things I want to do and see here. This way I can get it all done before you get here'
'You're the best, Grace. I can't wait to see you'
I'll make sure to make the room nice and inviting for when you get here'
'With or without your clothes on?'
'Tanner!' I said in shock
