Kaycee's flight was departing around 10 p.m. the night of the 15th, so the day leading up to her departure she decided to go out to lunch with her friends.

They called themselves the migos when Sean was with them, but it just felt different without him.

Julian: "glad you called us kayc"

Kaycee: "yeah me too, I actually have something to tell you guys"

They looked up, clearly intrigued by what was coming.

Kaycee: "I leave for China tonight"

Tahani: "woah what?!"

Kaycee: "I can't heal without him, I've been trying for a month and and a half and I've gotten nowhere. My stupid nightmares come every single night"

Bailey: "god, I'm so glad you'll have him, does he know?"

Kaycee: "no, Alex does, but Sean doesn't, I kinda wanted to lighten the mood and surprise him I guess"

Josh: "he'll be stoked kayc"

Kaycee: "I can't wait to see him..."

Julian: "I'm sorry we couldn't do you any good in terms of healing kayc; we tried"

Kaycee: "you guys are the reason I'm able to get up every day and face the world despite how traumatizing that night was, I'm seriously so thankful for you all."

The smiled and finished up their food, saying their sentimental goodbyes as kaycee took off back home to finish her packing.

Kylie: "Sean's gonna love on you so hard"

Kaycee: "I know, I'm excited, but I'm also kinda uneasy about it..."

Kylie: "why?"

Kaycee: "I haven't been touched intimately by anyone but Sean until the incident...I'm afraid that when he touches me I'm gonna get flashbacks Ky"

Kylie: "that's normal kayc, my friend from school is a victim too, she told me her boyfriend was so patient with her through all of this...and I know Sean will be the same way"

Kaycee: "i have no doubt about that, I just don't want him to think I'm afraid of him..."

Kylie: "then you need to have that talk with him as soon as you get settled in"

Kaycee: "I will"

Kylie: "listen, some people heal slower than others, and you're moving at a pretty good rate kayc. Trust the process, and now that you have Sean I'm sure it'll be smooth sailing"

Kaycee: "you really give good advice"

Kylie: "that's my job as your big sister"

Kaycee smiled and grabbed her suitcase, giving Kylie one of the biggest hugs they'd ever shared.

Kylie: "be safe out there okay?"

Kaycee: "I'll call you!"

Kylie: "I love you kayc"

Kaycee: "love you too Kylie"

Kaycee ran downstairs, eager to get to the airport and departed.

She hugged her dad and her brother goodbye and hopped in the car with her mom.

Laura: "I don't know if I'm ready for this"

Kaycee: "you might not be ready for me to leave, but I know you're ready for me to get better mom"

Laura: "more than anything sweetie, that's all I want"

Kaycee: "and Sean is gonna help me, I know it"

Laura: "I've never been more certain that he will honey, it's always been him"

Kaycee smiled down at her phone, noticing a text from him.

Sean: "missin you bub xoxo"

She glanced back up at her mom who was shaking her head at the sudden love in Kaycee's eyes.

Kaycee: "miss you more <3"

She knew he'd be ecstatic to see her, but what she was most excited about was letting him hold her.

She knew intimacy would be hard until she could move past this, and it wasn't a conversation she wanted to have, but they needed to have it, so she also couldn't wait to get that cleared up.

Most of all she was excited to heal. To get better alongside the person who got her. Who made it known that she was so overly cared for. Who loved her at her worst and her best.

At the air port, her mom got her to the gate and waited as she got ready to board.

Laura: "text me and call me constantly, I love you baby girl"

Kaycee: "I love you too mom, thank you"

Laura smiled as she watched kaycee walk onto the plane alone.

Kaycee's heart was still. She was a little afraid of being alone in such a big space, but she knew this was exactly what she needed, and maybe being away from home was another factor in how she could progress.

The flight was long.

Longer than she anticipated, but maybe that was because she was antsy and couldn't wait to see him.

Thankfully the plane at wifi so he wouldn't think she was ignoring him.

Sean: "call meeee I miss u:("

Kaycee: "no FaceTime tho cause my parents are home and I'm in the bath"

Sean: "wtf, fine"

She giggled knowing he was perfectly fine with it, just giving her a hard time.

She called him, keeping quiet because she knew some of the people around her would want to fall asleep.

Sean: "baby!"

Kaycee giggled behind the speaker giving Sean instant butterflies.

Kaycee: "mmm I love hearing that come out of your mouth I swear"

Sean: "I love saying it"

Kaycee: "how'd you sleep last night?"

Sean: "good, I miss holding you though"

Kaycee: "I miss being held, but I'm glad you're alright"

Sean: "how are the night terrors holding up?"

Kaycee: "every night, but it's the same thing every time"

Sean: "what is it?"

Kaycee: "him carrying me up the stairs as I slowly start to black out...it freaks me out every single time"

Sean: "you don't even know how hard I wanna beat that fuckers ass"

Kaycee: "I'll hang up on you"

Sean: "I didn't mean to cuss"

Kaycee: "mhm"

Sean: "seriously, I'm sorry, but I want him to suffer"

Kaycee: "but we decided that you weren't gonna get in a fight with him"

Sean: "I know what we decided"

Kaycee: "good"

Sean: "alright baby, I'm gonna head off to teach okay?"

Kaycee: "be safe and have fun"

Sean: "I will, I love you"

Kaycee: "I love you more"

Sean: "love you most bubba"

She smiled and was able to relax back into her seat and fall asleep for awhile.
