"My inside sources are telling me that the heorine, Aquamarine, also known as Kayla Richards, was quickly ushered inside by boyfriend Johnny Storm, the Human Torch, and it seems that's where she will be staying after yesterday's embarrassing fiasco."
Susan sat on the couch in the living room with a frown as she watched the rerun of a news reporter speaking about Kayla's incident before the topic had changed to hers and Reed's fourth failed attempt at a wedding.
Is this all they're ever going to talk about?
She bit her nail as she watched the screen, not even realising that Reed had silently entered the room.
The scientist held a pile of papers in his hand that Kayla wanted him to take a look at and since her snapping at him yesterday evening, he didn't have much of a choice to say 'no.'
But then again, he seemed to have noticed a drastic change in her demeanour over dinner last night and got the hint that it was something more than just his insensitive comment.
If he knew his little sister, it had to do with Johnny.
"Coming up next, the Invisible Woman's greatest fashion blunders and an impromptu dance routine from former scientist, Reed Richards."
At this point, Reed had, had enough of hearing news reports about his and Susan's wedding that he quickly made his way over and grabbed the remote, turning the TV off completely.
"Sue, why do you keep watching these?" He said, almost as if he was scolding her. "Just ignore it!"
The blonde had dropped her head into her hands for a brief moment.
"I can't ignore it, Reed!" She replied, bursting out before she looked up again, her expression appearing stressed. "There's no getting away from it!"
Her mind went back to the conversation that she had with Reed when Kayla had left the room, earlier yesterday - they could never have normal lives as long as they do what they do, especially when it came to raising a family like this.
"I believe there is." Reed responded. The scientist had thought the matter over ever since his fiancé had brought it up.
Neither of them had realised or even noticed that Johnny had passed by the living room.
The blonde male paused as he caught onto their conversation and stepped back, hiding himself behind a wall to listen in on the couple.
What did they want to get away from?
"How?" Susan asked and Reed remained silent, only because he didn't know how to put his thoughts into words just yet. "See? No answer."
The oldest Richards sibling let out a soft sigh as he leaned himself against the unit before he shifted his gaze towards her.
"Yes, there is." He stated with a serious tone to his voice. "What if, after this crisis is over, we leave it all behind?"
"What are you talking about?" Susan questioned.
From his hiding spot behind the wall, Johnny frowned, quite surprised at what Reed had suggested. Were he and Susan planning on leaving the Fantastic Five?
"We move out of the Baxter Building." Reed began to explain as he moved himself across the living room to sit next to Susan. "I'll take a teaching position somewhere. Get back into my research and the two of us will live our lives and raise a family like normal people."
The blonde woman was slowly beaming. "You would do that?" She asked.
Reed stared at her seriously with nothing but love pouring into his next words. "Nothing's more important to me than our future together."
