Kayla stared at her reflection in the mirror as she added the finishing touches to her hair.

She wore a deep purple, floor length dress that had a plunging neck-line and a thigh-high slit. The dress hugged her small, athletic figure perfectly until it flowed freely from her waist down. She paired her outfit off with a pair of black, strapped heels which only boosted her height slightly.

Her makeup was done naturally, making her hazel eyes appear more prominent while her hair was left in soft curls which she had pulled back into a high ponytail while leaving a few strands hanging loose.

She walked back over to her vanity and sat down, where she began to put on her jewelry.

"Wow.." A voice said from behind her, instantly receiving a smile from the brunette as she knew that familiar tone.

She twisted her body around in her seat to look at Johnny, who had himself leaned up against the doorframe with his blue gaze full of admiration.

"You look absolutely stunning." He said with wonder in his tone as he began making his way towards her.

Kayla smiled and took the advantage of admiring him as he approached. God, did he look handsome in a tux.

"You look devilishly handsome yourself, Storm." She replied making the blonde smirk as he came to a stop in front of her, holding his hand out for her to take.

With a soft giggle, she placed her hand into his and got to her feet, staring up into his blue eyes with a smile as he stared down into her hazel.

"So, what did you do to Ben this time?" She asked with a knowing look.

Johnny looked at her innocently. "What makes you think I did something to the big guy?" He asked. "I'm offended that you think so low of me, babe."

With a smile, Kayla gave her boyfriend a pointed look. "Because I know you, Jonathan Storm."

"Ouch, the full name?" He teased, placing his hand on his chest as if he was wounded.

The 5'2" woman rolled her eyes with a smile before she reached up to tighten his tie that had hung loosely around his neck. Once it was tightened, she went and neatened it out before running her hands along his shoulders and down his arms.

Feeling his gaze on her, she looked up at him and tilted her head to the side with a soft smile.

"What?" She asked.

"Nothing, I'm just.." Johnny began, his expression seemed to be as if he was in a dream-like state. "I'm just admiring beauty at it's finest."

A light blush dusted across Kayla's cheeks as she let out a soft giggle. "That was so cheesy." She said.

The blonde grinned and gave her a wink in response.

"Now, my stunningly gorgeous Maid of Honour.." He began and took her hand, pressing a kiss to the back of it. "Your Best Man has come to escort you to the wedding."

Kayla grinned at him. "Then what are we waiting for?" She asked.

After leaving Kayla with his sister, Johnny had made his way towards the entrance where the walk down the aisle would begin.

He stopped at the table in the corner of the room and reached into his blazer pocket where he pulled out a black velvet box.

He stared at the item in his hands, running through the entire process in his head. During the reception, he'd go up on stage, give his speech and then he would ask the big question - if the woman he loved with every fibre of his being, would spend the rest of her life with him.

He quickly slipped the box back into his pocket and poured himself a glass of champagne to calm his nerves.

"Johnny?" Alicia's voice called out off to the side, making the Human Torch glance over. "You shouldn't tease him so much."

"It was a joke." He replied.

"I don't know." The woman grinned. "I think it bothers you to see him so happy and in love. I think you're jealous." She teased.

"You think I'm jealous?" He repeated as he walked over and stood next to her. "Have you seen the woman I'm dating?"

"No." Alicia answered.

Johnny's eyes widened slightly as he swallowed a mouth full of champagne before he turned to Alicia, ready to apologise until she let out a giggle.

Oh, she tricked him and he completely fell for it.

'Well played.' He thought to himself with a shake of his head, chuckling softly as he took another sip of the sparkling liquour.

"I think that deep down, you're happy for him." She said with a smile. "You just won't show it."

"Nah." The blonde shook his head with a small grin. "The guy is just way too easy to tease. Makes it fun."

Before anything else could be said, Ben's voice filled the room as he entered with Kayla and Sue on each arm. "Ta-da!" He grinned.

Johnny looked over, his heart skipping a beat and a smile appearing on his face as his eyes landed on his girlfriend even though he had seen her moments earlier. She just seemed to look more gorgeous each and every time.

His smile broadened when his blue gaze landed on his sister, seeing her for the first time in her wedding dress.

"It's the bride of Stretchy Man!" He teased which made Susan blush.

"Don't start." She said with a smile, rolling her eyes at her little brother.

Ben waved his arm at Johnny as he looked at the older Storm sibling. "Ah, don't listen to him." He said. "You look gorgeous."

Susan smiled appreciatively at Ben. "Thank you."

"We'll see you out there, sweetie." The rocky man said before he made his way over to Alicia. "Come on, we're on." He said, hooking his arm with hers.

Kayla gave Susan a smile and walked up to Johnny where she leaned up and lightly pecked his lips.

"I'll see you out there." She whispered and followed behind Ben and Alicia.

As the three made their way down the aisle, Johnny placed his now empty glass back on the table while taking note of his older sister's nervousness.

"You know, you don't look completely ridiculous in that dress." He said and turned to face her while slipping his hands into his pockets.

Susan looked at her brother skeptically. "Is that obnoxious brother talk for 'You look kind of nice'?" She asked.

"You look beautiful." He said in all seriousness.

The older Storm sibling looked back at him as a smile settled across her lips. "Thank you." She responded softly.

Johnny approached her slowly with a smile of his own before he let out a soft chuckle, never having witnessed the shy side of his sister.

His chuckles died down before he stared at her with a soft smile. "Dad would be proud." He said.

Tears began to flood in Susan's eyes at the mention of their father but she held them back, giving her brother a watery smile while nodding her head.

"Yeah." She whispered and pulled him in for a tight hug.
