Lydia was sitting in the green grass beside her basket of material.
She was cross-stitching the yellow field of flowers in front of her.

Three years had passed and Rick had gone his ways. Lydia missed him but had fun imagining what he was up to. She had moved to her home planet, Janwarchod, a year ago with Yokes. She wanted to connect more with her people and go to the universities to learn about her culture.
She would visit Universe Midway once in a while; She had such fun memories there!

"Miss!" A Furry soldier  ran towards Lydia.
"Gamer soldiers are right behind me! Run!" The furry who was an oryx, warned.

Lydia was caught off guard and quickly grabbed her basket of material!

"Run to the woods, we can lose them there!" He ordered as we ran close together.

I had thought this was a safe zone, the Gamer troops must've gotten past the Furries to have gotten this far!

BANG!

A bullet passed Lydia's head!

Lydia screams for her life and falls into the grass!
The Furry soldier runs back to help Lydia up as the Gamers shoot again!

They miss the shot!

Lydia runs to the forest successfully with the Soldier.

They climb up a tree as Lydia puts out her hand and the branches and leaves get thicker to hide them.

The oryx stared at Lydia in shock, he didn't know what he just witnessed.

The Soldiers Run to the forest and look around.

"Where did they go?" One of the soldiers asked. "I saw him with someone else," the other soldier replied. "He couldn't have gotten that far in here," They struggled to get through the trees.

"Let's get back to camp, General won't like it if we're out here too long and come back empty-handed," The soldier said.

The soldiers leave and once out of sight Lydia and the soldier sneak down.
"Are you okay?" He asked Lydia. "Yeah," I answered. "Okay, good. That was close. I'm sorry for endangering you," He apologized. "Why were you out there?" Lydia wondered. "I'm a messenger of the Queen's force. I was sent out to deliver plans to our troops east from here, but the Gamer's got past them. I ran into some of the soldiers when I was getting back to report what had been done, but thankfully I outran them." He explained.
"You work for the queen??" She was honored. "Yes," He answered. "Thank you for your duty!" Lydia bowed. "No need to thank me, this is why I joined. Thank you for-- hiding us," He replied. "Oh yeah- I just have an ability!" Lydia awkwardly laughed. "What kind of ability?" He was intrigued.

We started walking through the forest. "Well, I gained some power to life when I was younger, I don't normally use it around strangers much because I hate explaining how I got it and how they want to use me for it. I can interact with living things, like plants and animals, but I can also heal and grow too," Lydia explained.

"Wow,  I've never heard about anyone having those powers besides a God," He replied.

"I've always had what's rare," She said.

"Well, where do you live?" He asked. "Oac Kingdom, I'm guessing you're going there?" Lydia replied.

"Yes, I must quickly report back, but I'd be glad to safely walk you back though!" He said as I agreed.

"How long will this war last?" Lydia wandered. "I hope not long, I just hope the Gamers don't win, I heard they are doing horrible things to their prisoners and want to with all of us," He said. "Like... what?" Lydia asked. "They're trying to make Furries into their pets, dumber and smaller," He replied. "Oh, no... why are they doing that?" I was confused and shocked. "Hucums," He said, numb to the thought.

"I'm Zagger by the way," He introduced.

"I'm Lydia, It's nice to have met you today Zagger," Lydia replied.

Whenever they walk through the gates of Oac Kingdom they are greeted with a little sloth with rabbit teeth and stoned eyes.

"Hey gorgeous," The little sloth greeted Lydia. "Uh-- hello," Lydia replied. "You got a mighty fine partner there, He minds if I can firmly kiss your paw? Rawr!" He flirted and creepily winked.

They both look at the sloth in disgust and walk away.

"No, come back!" The sloth begged. But They were already gone.

"Alone forever..." A tear ran down his face as he gazed up at the sky. "Ow, my eyes!" He got blinded by the sun!

"So what part do you live?" Zagger asked. "Uptown from here, you?" Lydia answered as they walked through a tight street. Zagger laughed. "I live near the palace, in the military base," He said. "Oh,"

"Yeah, it's getting rough though, every day more and more men go out there and don't come back," Zagger said. Lydia pouted to the thought. "I wish I could help," She said. "You probably can," Zagger replied. Lydia stopped and looked at him.

"...You're right," Lydia started to think. "Maybe Think about it, I need to hurry back to base now, it was nice meeting you!" He bowed. "It was nice meeting you too!" Lydia bowed and waved as he went on his way.

"Zagger," She smiled.
