Mario Koopa is the youngest of king Bowser Koopa's seven children, who loves to sing and explore. He is really fascinated with the Mobian world and would love to go there if his dad wasn't so paranoid.

The ocean castle is the domain of king Bowser Koopa, ruler of the ocean. That day was a special one for the omnibenevolent king of the ocean, as it was the day his daughter and six sons would preform at his concert.

A Koopa swam to a microphone and said into it, "Mermaids and mermen, sea creatures of all ages. Put your hands or fins together for his royal highness, King Bowser!"
There was a load of clapping as a muscular merman swam in. He had red hair and eyes to mach, a green tail with a matching jacket, a yellow shirt under, black bands on his arms and a chocker around his neck.
"BOWSER! BOWSER!" The sea creatures chanted as they saw their king.
"And," the Koopa added, "Presenting, His highness's court composer, children's royal tutor and captain of the royal guards, Cloud Strife!"
There was slightly less cheering for Cloud, a blonde merman with spiky hair blue eyes. He had traditional sea soldier armour, a dark blue tail, a shoulder plate on his right shoulder and brown gloves on his hands.
"I can't wait to see my kids performance, Cloud." Bowser told the soldier, smiling.
"And you should be, Sire." Cloud responded, "This'll be the greatest concert I've conducted. Your sons and daughter, they'll be spectacular!"
"Especially my little boy, Mario." Bowser added with a laugh.
"Yes," Cloud agreed, "His singing voice is the best out of all of them. I wish he'd show up for rehearsals sometime." He added under his breath.
He clicked his baton on a stand and music began to play. Five mermen and a mermaid came out of clamshells and began to sing:
