One could find Maihime sitting in Maji Burger with a vanilla shake and a cheeseburger as her companions. She couldn't chose which meal to eat, so she picked both. It was a distressing time for her, especially since she enjoyed food. She was glistening with sweat as she ahd just came back from weekend dance training.
Yeah, it was Saturday. Which meant the day before was Friday - The day she went on her first date. Not that she'd ever admit it, but that was her very first date. Ever. Boys in the school didn't really find her attractive. Maihime was a pretty girl, but the boys in her schools prefered the blond foreigners with big boobs. Maihime wasn't a blond foreigner, and she had at least a C-cup. Thus why she didn't get much of the male population's attention.
But then again, she didn't have time for a love life with her mind focused on becoming a famous dancer. To others it was a far fetched ambition that would forever be an unaccomplished dream, but none had been as determined as Maihime was. It was at least 4 o'clock, the sun just beginning it's decent behind the horizon when Maihime entered the burger shop.
Taking an absentminded sip of her drink, Maihime soon filled her mouth with a burger. As she expected of her weekend, she was her only companion. Once again, Maihime wasn't like other girls. Her phone didn't buzz every two seconds with a new invite to the biggest party, or a meaningless confession and certainly not from any friends. The date with Izuki went really well, there wasn't any awkward silences like how Maihime had expected.
When they felt one coming on, Izuki would crack a horrible joke. Once Maihime actually replied with: "Real punny, Izuki-kun." That made them both laugh at the slip of her tongue, which resulted in a joke itself.
But the only bad thing about the date was something that was mutual between the two. The date didn't feel romantic at all, more like an outing with friends or a day out with your sibling. At the end of the date, Maihime kissed his cheek and they agreed to be just friends.
On other news, Kise had taken his test on Friday and scored a high 99. Maihime was proud.
On Saturday though, it was uneventful. Unless her teacher organized for some Saturday rehersals Maihime was completely bored and didn't do anything of importance. Which explained the sad sight of her in a booth eating her feelings.
"Excuse me," Maihime blinked owlishly before she turned to the voice. "Do you mind of I sit with you? There are no other seats left." Maihime nodded and patted the opposite side of the table.
"Of course, Kuroko-san." Now that she had company, Maihime felt a bit better. Kuroko nodded in gratitude before he sat down in his seat and sipped his milkshake. He blinked as he saw Maihime's beverage.
"...Maihime-san, is that by any chance--" Maihime nodded to his unfinished question before she interrupted.
"Vanilla? Yeah, it's my favorite flavor." Kuroko had a small smile on his face as it was rare for people to like the flavor. Most thought it was too bland or in other cases too sweet. Kuroko didn't care, he liked vanilla and that was that.
Kuroko took a sip at the same time she did. "You have good taste, Maihime-san." Maihime laughed a little at that and smiled at Kuroko.
Did he just make a joke? "I didn't know you knew jokes, Kuroko-san." Maihime said before shoving the burger in her mouth. Currently she was in more covering clothing as she remembered to change before she forgot and embarrassed herself again. She was wearing a long sleeved white t-shirt that covered her hands with Kasamatsu's grey hoodie over it, for pants she wore knee length black tights with some air forces.
Kuroko shrugged. "I don't. I don't have a very good sense of humor." His voice was pretty dull and he seemed quite serious about not being that funny. Surely he had his moments...Right?
