Teasing

                                                                      Three Weeks Later...

"You are even more distracted than usual." Mai said as she stepped away from Kise. The blond was still learning tango, it was a difficult dance and when he copied Hideki, he copied the warm up. Three weeks into the dance sessions and he improved greatly but was not good enough to keep up with Mai in the slightest.

But this time his lack of speed wasn't the reason he was failing. "Sorry, sorry, Katsumi-chan." Ah, they also got onto the first name base during their time together, "It's just...we have a practice match against my best friend from Teiko in two days."

Mai could see how absolutely happy Kise was to see this best friend. "A practice match? If that's the case, go and practice for the match." She said as she picked up her cardigan and changed out from her heels.

"I wont really need too-" Kise stopped in the middle of his little brag session when he saw Mai's stiffened posture. She hated his cockiness sometimes, he needed to add the word 'Underestimation' to his dictionary considering he does it all the time against his opponents. Even if his team always wins without trouble, it'll get him in trouble someday.

Kise decided to change the subject, "Am I improving?" Mai nodded as she rubbed her tired eyes. "You still haven't been sleeping?"

"Studying and reading."

Kise sighed again, "Really, Katsumi-chan? You need to sleep~" He whined/pleaded his coach and close friend. She shook her head and stiffled a yawn.

"I'm not naturally as smart as some people are, Ryo-kun. I need to study." She said before she slipped on her cardigan and tennis shoes.

Kise laughed, something he did a lot around Mai. "You still are a horrible liar, Himecchi." The nickname stuck... "You are the smartest in the class."

She grinned at him, "But there is always room for improvement." She aimed that towards him too which didn't go unnoticed.

"Anyway...Do you wanna watch the match?"

Mai was beyond surprised, "Eh? Like, the practice match?" Kise nodded. "Why?"

Kise already had the answer. "You've never seen me play before, Himecchi!"

"I've seen you practice though."

"But it's not the same." Kise gushed as he floated to the ground and got on his knees. The idea of a fast developing relationship was no longer foreign between the two as they became attached to the hip by the second week together, the Tango strengthening their relationship greatly (the dance required a lot of touching and closeness)

It felt like only yesterday the awkwardness was floating in the air...

Kise blushed as he stumbled back and away from Maihime. He wasn't just blushing, no, he was an absolute tomato with blond hair. "W-What? Himecchi, that is a little...extreme don't you think?"

Maihime sighed and shook her head as she stepped closer to Kise, "No. It's actually a moderate version to the actual Tango that I've seen Latino's do in competitions. In reality, this is quite tame."

"Tame!? I-I think senpai will kill me if I touched you like that, Himecchi!" Kise sat on the floor and refused to get up. How was he supposed to know the dance that Hideki and Maihime shared was a warm up?! He wanted to learn that one rather than the one they were learning now!

Maihime crouched down and looked him in the eye, "Kise." He looked up, "This is the Tango. Do you want to learn it or not? This is the only chance I'll let you back out."
