A repetitive sound woke Maihime from her urgent sleep. After dragging one eye open, Maihime read the bright red numbers flashing on her alarm clock.

"Who the hell would knock on my door at 3 in the morning?" Maihime grumbled to herself before convincing herself to go back to sleep. Of course, the knocking didn't sieze. Eventually Maihime began to feel bad about leaving someone knocking on her door in the cold so she crawled across the floor and swung the door open.

"Ryo-kun?" Kise looked just as tired as her. But he was still smiling. "Why're you here so early?" It seemed selfish, but Maihime was kind of happy he was here at 3. She was to leave in 2 hours, maybe 1 to get there on time. At least now she could spend a little time with him before she left.

Kise rubbed his hands together before leaping inside the warm house, closing and locking the door behind him. "Hey Sumi-chan!" He casually put her jacket on the cot hanger with his hat and scarf, tugging his shoes into the corner next to the door. It was like he owned the place!

"I didn't know what you were doing today so I figured I could get you really early in the morning!" Maihime rolled her eyes before pushing him to her bedroom. The least she could do was show him the letter so she didn't need to strain her dry throat.

"Did it ever occur to you that I needed some sleep?" Kise just shook his head innocently. Maihime just and entered her room. "What am I going to do with you?" Maihime went to her desk and through the envelope at him and watched his growing reaction as he read it.

But he frowned. Like he did the day Maihime told him about her recital. "You're moving? To another region?" Maihime nodded. "...That's great, Sumi-chan! It really is..."

"You don't sound too happy."

Kise shrugged again. "How long are you going to be gone? 'Cause I- we'll miss you a lot. You're family and the basketball team." Maihime shifted in her computer chair before rubbing her arms awkwardly.

"I don't know how long I'll be gone for, my entire high school life possibly? I don't know. But this is my dream so I'll worry about all the details later..." But Maihime thought back on the emotional Kaijou High Basketball team that she was like a little sister to... "As for the basketball team, Ryo-kun, could you tell them about my departure?"

"I'll keep in touch with my Aunt and Uncle, so that's not a problem. You too, so don't go getting depressed about this, alright?" Kise nodded dully before something seemed to register in his head. With an over exaggerated yelp, Kise shoved Maihime into her bed and shoved a pillow into her face.

"KISE?! What the hell are you doing?" Kise laughed sheepishly before shifting his eyes from side to side.

"You have to be there at 5, right? So that means you'll have to leave at 4, which is like...An hour from now. SO YOU NEED TO GET THAT EXTRA HOUR OF SLEEP!"

Maihime shifted the pillow from her face and have Kise a bored stare. "What about you? It's too cold and late for you to walk home, it's quite a distance."

Kise scoffed and waved his hand around. "I'll be alright! It's not even that far, ya know." Maihime just dragged him to the bed and shoved him under the blankets. It was a good thing she owned a Queen sized bed otherwise things would have gotten awkward really quickly.

Kise was a blazing pink. "S-S-S-S-Sumi-chan~ I-I can walk home, I swear!"

"Bullshit." Maihime murmured, turning to back to him and snuggling into the blanket. "You're sleeping here and that's final. I'll be damned if I'll let your fan girls attack me because you got murdered on your way home. So shut up and close your eyes, will ya?"
