As long as she wanted to be his, he will always be by her side one way or another.

People thought they got together fast. Way too fast for people who had just met, but if they knew just how important they meant to each other, they wou...

It was already three in the morning when Calla decided it was time to leave. Everyone left an hour ago, and the only people left were the guards that stood at Althaia's door.
Five minutes ago, she made a call to Johnson for her ride home and when she got the message that he arrived she packed up the containers and said good night to the guards.
"Donna, how was your night?"
"Could've been better, sorry for calling. I didn't realize it was already so late."
"No worries, this is my job. I'd gladly pick you up anytime, anywhere," giving her a smile.
Today was perfect, at least it was in the beginning.
The past few days were too perfect. The silence, the calmness, the happiness that they were all feeling, something was bound to happen, but Calla didn't expect someone to get shot.
The car ride back, Calla realized that she could never go back to being a lawyer. It just wasn't possible. Smiling to herself, if she knew she would've been Donna, she would've never wasted the money on tuition to law school.
Imagine how much she could've saved.
Then again, imagine if she wasn't Donna, the type of pain she had endured wouldn't even have existed.
Closing her eyes, it had seem that things do change dramatically in a short amount of time. She never believed in love. Her parents never had a good relationship and she never wanted to end up like them.
When Calla's dad left, he was as high as a kite. There were nights when he forgot who she was and when he left, Calla wasn't sure whether she should be happy or upset.
It wasn't like he was there for her anyway, what difference would have it made if he stayed?
She remembered when her mom got high and drunk off whatever she could find when her dad left and Calla was afraid she'd end up like that. It's like the saying, like mother, like daughter. It wouldn't be a surprise if she did become her mom.
But ever since she met Stefano, she concluded that she wouldn't mind the consequences of being with him, even if it meant that in the future, she'd become exactly like her mom.
There were times when Calla wanted to give her mom a call just to see how she was. Her mom may have not treated her well, but she was still her mother. Calla owed her that little bit for allowing her to be in this world.
"Donna, we've arrived."
"..."
"Donna?"
"I'm sorry, I'm quite exhausted."
"Don't worry about it."
Getting out of the car, "Thanks Johnson, I hope you have a good rest of your night. Take care."
