Evelyn woke up the next morning at Hogwarts extra chipper. She didn't know why, but she was excited for the day to come.

In the great hall, she sat down with Laura and Helen for breakfast. She was incredibly enthusiastic during breakfast. That didn't last long as the hall outside the Great Hall started making a large ruckus. Professor Dumbledore and Headmaster Dippet went out to see what was happening. Just after that, they led a girl around Evelyn's age through the hall to the head table. From the reactions the professor's made, Evelyn guessed immediately that she wasn't supposed to be here.

Helen: (turning to Evelyn) Who is she?

Evelyn: (shrugging) No idea.

The girl was brought over to the professors table. After a long moment of discussion, one of the professors must've asked the girl a question and the girl pointed in the direction of Evelyn's table. They walked over to them, Evelyn dipping her head down and continued at her eggs. Professor Dumbledore cleared his throat.

Dumbledore: Evelyn? Miss Daxton says she knows you. Can you confirm?

Evelyn: (looking up at the girl, her tongue catching between her teeth) Y-yes.

Dumbledore: She's in danger, and she's asked for your protection.

He left, leaving the girl with Evelyn. Helen and Laura stared up at the girl, then back at Evelyn for explanation. Evelyn was having trouble speaking.

Evelyn: (managing) E-Emory?

Emory sat in the library with Evelyn and Helen. Helen was flipping through a book and Evelyn sat, asking Emory what was going on. Laura had to go to class.

Emory: Look, Evelyn. Like I told your teachers, I don't know how I got here.

Evelyn: But, you must be related to a wizard in some way. From what you've told us, that's the only logical reason you'd be able to see Hogwarts.

Emory: (shaking her head) Like I told your professors. I have no magical ancestry.

Helen: (smashing her head down into the book) Nothing! Absolutely nothing in this book explains what's going on!

Evelyn: (rubbing her shoulder) Hey, Helen. It's alright. Maybe you can take a break and let the teachers find out.

Helen nodded her head, stood up and walked out of the library. Emory watched as Helen's Slytherin robes swished gently as she moved. Emory looked toward Evelyn.

Emory: She's very much the opposite of you, isn't she?

Evelyn: (smiled) I mean, I guess that's what the saying 'opposites attract' comes from, huh?

Emory: (smiling awkwardly) I guess.

Evelyn and Emory sat in the library until Evelyn said she had to get to class.

Evelyn: (standing up) Can you wait in the library? And don't go exploring! I don't wanna end up to Hell and back because you got lost!

Evelyn ran off to get to Charms. Helen was sitting in the classroom when Evelyn entered. Helen smiled and scooted over slightly. Evelyn sat down next to her.

Helen: (pulling out her inkpot) Did you find anything else out?

Evelyn: (shaking her head) No. I didn't know where to look.

Helen etched out the date across the top of the paper.

Evelyn copied her action. Evelyn, though a good student usually, was having a hard time paying attention that day. Something was telling her Emory wasn't telling a full truth. But, she brushed it off, thinking it was just nerves that Emory'd ignore her to go off and explore the castle. Suddenly, a flash of brown hair and blue eyes ran past the door.

Evelyn's hand shot into the air and asked if she could use the toilets. Then, she bolted out the door. She found Emory and ran up to her.

Evelyn: (in a harsh whisper) Emory! What are you doing? I told you to stay in the library!

Emory: (in a calmer whisper) I had to use the toilet and got lost.

Evelyn: (in another harsh tone) There's a toilet right next to library! It's as clear as day!

Emory made an oh sound and nodded, then started back to the library. Evelyn was so frustrated, she didn't realize that Emory seemed to know exactly where she was headed, even though she'd just said she was lost.

Evelyn slipped in the toilets and waited there for a little bit before running her hands under water, shook and wiped them dry on her robes. Evelyn went back to Charms and sat there more calmly. Until class was over.

Emory's P.O.V.

Emory rounded the corner into the toilets near the library and pulled a portable quill and ink, and a roll of parchment out of her jacket's inside pocket. She quickly scrawled out a quick note. She then went to the window, opened it with great difficulty, and whistled.

A raven soared down to the window.

Emory: (to the raven) Sorry, boy. Didn't make to the owlery. (showing the raven the roll of parchment) You know the plan. Take this to him.

The raven nuzzled Emory, affectionately, and flew away. Emory, then, closed the window and ran her hands under the water, shaking them, and leaving.

Emory: (under her breath) She won't suspect a thing.
