Applejack quietly tip toed inside the house, carefully closing the door behind her. She turned on the lights and looked at the clock that was hanging on the wall.
'Damn it, 2am'
Applejack didn't pay attention to time while she was still hanging out with Rainbow Dash. She smiled a little to herself at the memory. They held hands while talking about different things, laughing, having fun, singing.
Applejack walked towards the kitchen, making sure the doors made no noise when she closed them. She really shouldn't wake up anyone.
She almost screamed when she saw a dark figure in the kitchen. She grabbed the subject closest to her, that being a glass bottle, and raised her hand.
"Hey Hey, It's me Applejack, don't panic!" Applejack recognized the voice. She lowered her hand and turned on the lights. She saw her curly haired sister-in-law, dressed up in baggy pyjamas she probably borrowed from Applejack's brother.
"Sugar Belle? What are you doin' in the kitchen so late?" Applejack asked as she walked towards the girl.
"I could ask you the same thing," She giggled. "But seriously, I just got hungry in the middle of the night, so I went down here to grab a snack. What about you? Did the concert end late? Weren't you supposed to be home two hours ago?"
The girls sat down on the table, eating the cookies Sugar Belle just opened.
"Well yea, but y'know Ah told you how Twilight knows one of Blue Ink's friends and we met up and became close too, Ah've told you, haven't Ah?" Applejack asked as she bit the chocolate cookie.
"Of course, you were rather excited about that." Sugar Belle replied. "So spill."
"It's nothin' serious, us two just hanged out a bit behind the stage and—"
Sugar Belle's face began to gain color as Applejack spoke. Applejack noticed and quickly cleared up.
"Ah know what you're thinkin' about," her face was red too now "nothing like this happened, Sugarbelle, we just hanged out and got closer. Like friends. We are friends."
"Well some friends—"
"No."
"She is a celebrity, Applejack, most of them would take the opportunity to...uh...use, one of their fans to cool off after a performance. But of course if you're mighty happy about it so you—"
"And what's that supposed to mean?" Applejack raised her voice, before calming herself down as she began whispering. "Ah know the news don't portrait celebrities well, but she was very nice and we had a great talk. She sang me few songs and we talked. And you know Ah would never let someone use me, don't talk like that about her."
"I didn't mean to make you mad, Applejack, I'm sorry," Sugar Belle looked guilty. "I was making sure you're okay. I am very happy that you found such a talented friend, don't get me wrong! I should really learn not to believe everything on the TV.."
Applejack put her hand on Sugar Belle's shoulder and smiled.
"No harm done, sugarcube. You can repay me by not telling Mac and Granny that Ah came home so late. Ah know Ah am an adult, but when it comes to these kind of things, they sure are protective."
Sugar Belle giggled "Yup, they are."
Minutes passed and the two finally said their good nights and went up to their seperate rooms. Applejack undressed herself and put on her PJ's. She layed down on the bed and unlocked her phone. Just to check her social media before drifting to sleep.
